    I have been working at J. J. Keller full-time

    Pros

I appreciate the company's care for associates, customers and the community. This is a successful company with growth ahead and solid career opportunities, especially in the areas of sales and IT. And even though the company is certified by associates as a Great Place the Work, the leaders are continually looking for ways to be an even better place to be.

    Cons

The culture is fairly conservative, which may not be a fit for everyone.

    Advice to Management

Thanks for all you do for associates, customers and our community!

    I worked at J. J. Keller full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

While I worked there I thought the pay and the benefits were competitive with the companies in the area. I did enjoy my daily responsibilities. Coworkers were great to work with.

    Cons

My department was just one of the many departments that was offered a package that we could leave the company. The way it was offered was unbelievable we were all brought into the conference room and told out of the 24 that worked in the department at least 6 of us needed to take this if they didn't get enough they would pick the ones they wanted and those people would not get any kind of package. Then for every 2 that took the package they hired 1 replacement and we had to train that person before we could leave. If you work there too long. They will replace you with people that will work cheaper and have to start over with vacation benefits and profit and gain sharing.

    Advice to Management

You need to value the associates that have been loyal and are the ones that have helped to get the company where it is today. The third generation of owners are only interested in taking as much as they can for themselves and screw everyone else.

I worked at J. J. Keller (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive pay and nice benefits

    Cons

3rd Generation recently took over (few Years now). Now nothing like the 2nd generation. Much more concerned with money than employees. Very successful business. How much money does a person really need?

    Advice to Management

Lighten up and stop making working there a scary and stressful place. No one is confident about job security anymore. If you don't believe it, just ,listen to your employees that aren't in Executive or HR.
Stop getting yourself so involved in everyone's health. Punishing people with higher insurance rates for people who cannot help their diagnosis should be unlawful.

    Pros

You can rely on seasoned associates to answer questions, but there are not many left in certain areas.

    Cons

Training is poor. Philosophy is throw you in deep end. Most team leaders don't know how to do jobs to help, coordinators are too busy. Anxiety levels are at an all time high.

    Advice to Management

Bring in outside company to speak to associates to find out what is truly going on.

    Pros

Excellent corporate culture. All employees are known as associates and the organization treats them as such. The company and owners are very philanthropic and care about and contribute to the community. Within the company there are many diverse opportunities for different types of work experience and there is great collaboration between associates and departments to serve our customers.

    Cons

A little slow to adapt processes and technology for remote workers, but starting to catch up.

    Advice to Management

Keep open minds and open ears - ideas come from everywhere . . . associates of all levels, customers, and community.

I have been working at J. J. Keller (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Potential earnings are not capped.

    Cons

They change commission structure too often. Anytime people start doing well for themselves, they drop you down a peg or 2 by either lowering the commission or raising the goals.
