    Pros

    There were some great workers

    Cons

Senior members were arrogant and did not engage with the lower level employees

    I worked at J. L. French Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Since people come and go here frequently, you have a good chance of getting hired. If you like to work overtime, this might be a good fit.

    Cons

The plant is filthy. There is no logical control over the heating and cooling of the plant or lunchroom/locker room areas which makes it uncomfortable even when you're not working. Training is inconsistent adding to worker confusion and mistakes. Plan to work a lot of mandatory overtime.

    Advice to Management

This place needs better and more consistent training methods.

  3. "Very long and hot tedious work"

    I worked at J. L. French Automotive full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people I worked with were good people

    Cons

It is very hot in the summer and it is a very nasty job.The pay is pathetic for what you are doing.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people like you would your family and pay them better

I have been working at J. L. French Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Since it is in the boom/bust automotive manufacturing industry it can be rewarding well into the upswing.

    Cons

Is stressful on the bottom of and recovery from the downswing. Again, molten aluminum traveling around at speed in bull ladles of abused fork trucks and dust from dumped and/or shredded dirty aluminum scrap is a concern if you are at all concerned about your health and longevity.

    Advice to Management

Value the valuable people = Value education, don't fear it. Don't give up on striving to keep the plant safer and healthier. Don't fear getting caught by the regulators, stay ahead of them.
