I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Chase offers incentives based on performance. Teams are rank down to the individual level. If you have had a year where you have exceeded expectations, you will be at the top of the list and receive compensation as anticipated.

    Cons

Performance ranking is subject allows for too much room as it relates to personal management discretion. Team performance ranking must fit into a box of 20% exceeds expectations, 70% meets expectations and 10% needs improvement despite the actual performance of a team.

    Advice to Management

As one would expect, Chase is very a corporate environment. Within the commercial Bank, decisions are made at an executive level of management. Costs are driven down to low level cost centers. Servicing and operations continues to move offshore leaving very little room for a control over US customer experience.
