I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits were very nice. The company in general is a great company to work for.

    Cons

Be cautious of new departments. I worked in a new department after they closed this department in NY. Manager did not understand our jobs, nor how to evaluate how we were doing. Supervisors either didn't care or were on a power trip. More than half the department is on Pips and afraid of losing their jobs over small petty mistakes while others who make financial mistakes are being promoted.

    Advice to Management

Bring in another VP who has actually been a documentation analyst. Coaching is not sending an email. Work to retain your best people. When you have that strong a percentage of PiP's the problems are among your trainers and managers.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

An established company with growth potential.

    Cons

In hiring, you have to know someone from the inside to get a break.

    Advice to Management

Give opportunities not only to the ones that has connection with the upper management.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits with people from diverse background and a variety of experience. In general, most of the employees are experienced and work with the company for a very long period of time. The senior management generally knows each individual at the company.

    Cons

Long working hours like any other bank. Systems are a bit backward and certain things are still manual which is unexpected for such a prestigious bank.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade the systems to enable better accuracy and efficiency and for the employees to spent more time in growing the business and less time on administrative stuff.
