I worked at J.P. Morgan (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great time off benefits and pension also had good holiday benefits. Generous tuition program and parental leave program of 4 months.

    Cons

Pay raises are very small with insurance premium increases yearly. Benefits are good but at the end of the day employees work to pay bills.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good pay and good benefits.

    Cons

The cons are BAD MANAGEMENT and the employees they let get away with being an absolute cancer to the department because they are close friends. Management and the favoritism they show are the main problems with all locations in Jacksonville, esp Deerwood. If the VP doesn't like you for whatever reason, it trickles down to the managers, whom are also the VP's close friends, then the passive aggressiveness begins and it is truly ridiculous and just sad. The VP's and department managers engage in constant rumors and gossip which keeps the moral low. Corporate will say in town hall meetings that favoritism and blackballing doesn't exist but if the majority of the employees are saying it across the board, then obviously there is a problem.

    Advice to Management

To the Senior Management over the department VP's..... you are only listening to what the VP's, managers, and the friends that THEY choose to give you an insight on the department structure so OF COURSE there will be no favoritism going on in your eyes. Find a way to be more discreet when wanting feedback on the department, in other words....MANAGEMENT should not be able to pick who they want to attend the meetings with senior management, etc; because I can assure you that you will not get the TRUTH of what's really going on. You are losing great people because they don't go along to get along and it's just sad.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

Amazing benefits with medical, dental 401k, vision being very cheap. Great vacation, holidays, sick and personal day policies.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits, co-workers and management was very decent and helpful. Had choices of hour or half hour lunches which was nice.

    Cons

Most of the management was nice and helpful though there were some that did play favortism and it was obvious. Didn't like the fact that there was mandatory overtime.

    Advice to Management

They could really use some retraining with the team leaders, and have them relearn how to talk to there people in a nice professional way.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment is positive for me. It makes for the best team when everyone gets along. There is room for growth.

    Cons

Standing up all day takes a toll on your body. The only negative for me is the lack of being able to have a seat when there are no clients in the branch.

    Advice to Management

Please pay your tellers more. Especially when they have years of experience with being a teller.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They had some of the best benefits ever, lots of positions for opportunities to move up, flexibility of time, employee appreciation

    Cons

It was difficult to get other positions, the pay wasn't competitive, all moves were lateral when I was last there

    Advice to Management

Maybe they could provide more training opportunities for employees to move into higher positions, you are not able to have the experience if no one is willing to teach you.

I worked at J.P. Morgan (More than a year)

    Pros

same as working for any giant company - decent pay and good benefits for mindless and monotonous work

    Cons

frequent layoffs to satisfy investors and the bottom line, everyone does just enough so they don't lose their jobs when layoffs come around

    Advice to Management

you think you're safe, but your job is just as expendable as the peons you "manage"
