I have been working at J.P. Morgan (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Competitive salary, flexible work schedule

    Cons

Too aggressive on delivering a lot in a very short amount of time, lack of division of work and responsibilities

    Advice to Management

Need to improve division of work and responsibilities, better focus on quality than delivering results in short amount of time

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent paid and unpaid benefits and company discounts.

    Cons

"Change is constant" and constant change is an understatement. Too much change is not stable but chaotic and negatively impacts customer values. Employees are continually being degraded and devalued. Countless co-workers hired within the same time frame have left due to the mistreatment of employees, while the ones that remain, maintain a silent discontent for fear of termination. It's a high-stress, high-deadline demand work environment with intense regulations.

    Advice to Management

Certain senior managers could use some serious improvements as to how they treat their subordinate managers and their employees.

    I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time

    Pros

You at least get paid holidays

    Cons

Like high school, some managers are just plain ignorant and an embarrassment and obviously only got the position because of sucking up or working 65 hours a week. There are no Christmas bonuses given, lay off out of the blue..managers will single you out and pick on you until you quit if they do not like you

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting ignorant, ghettofied people to manager positions that bully the people they are over. Maybe get employees reviews on possible managers before promoting, if promoting from within.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good pay and good benefits.

    Cons

The cons are BAD MANAGEMENT and the employees they let get away with being an absolute cancer to the department because they are close friends. Management and the favoritism they show are the main problems with all locations in Jacksonville, esp Deerwood. If the VP doesn't like you for whatever reason, it trickles down to the managers, whom are also the VP's close friends, then the passive aggressiveness begins and it is truly ridiculous and just sad. The VP's and department managers engage in constant rumors and gossip which keeps the moral low. Corporate will say in town hall meetings that favoritism and blackballing doesn't exist but if the majority of the employees are saying it across the board, then obviously there is a problem.

    Advice to Management

To the Senior Management over the department VP's..... you are only listening to what the VP's, managers, and the friends that THEY choose to give you an insight on the department structure so OF COURSE there will be no favoritism going on in your eyes. Find a way to be more discreet when wanting feedback on the department, in other words....MANAGEMENT should not be able to pick who they want to attend the meetings with senior management, etc; because I can assure you that you will not get the TRUTH of what's really going on. You are losing great people because they don't go along to get along and it's just sad.

Great time off benefits and pension also had good holiday benefits. Generous tuition program and parental leave program of 4 months.

    Cons

Pay raises are very small with insurance premium increases yearly. Benefits are good but at the end of the day employees work to pay bills.
