Some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. Accordingly compensation is above average. Conservative values from the top down leading to a long haul outlook.

    Cons

Technology lags for being a large corporation.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Support from internal associates was top notch. Could trust their suggestions and advise on client issues. Many good procedures in place to ensure accuracy.

    Cons

Position was a dumping ground on most client facing issues. Management didn't provide enough support to help with the work load. Very stressful job and it wasn't unusually to have team members crying at their desk.

    I worked at J.P. Morgan

    Pros

I worked first in the Kansas City, MO office as a designer and that was an excellent environment. I had an excellent manager who recognized everyone's skills and talents and was very open to suggestions. In general, the environment, management, compensation, benefits, etc. were excellent and I would welcome the opportunity to work with Chase again.

    Cons

When I moved to Pennsylvania, the situation was quite different. It was an office that was comprised of people that had "fallen" into their jobs through a series of mergers. Many people were in positions for which they did not have appropriate training. Found that the mentality of "we've not done that before so it won't be successful" applied to many.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Financial industry leader. Treats their employees fairly and with dignity, great diversity program. Offers good benefits.

    Cons

Lower base pay for bankers and branch employees compared to other financial institutions (however the sales commission and bonus structure for bankers and managers is better than other banks). Hard to have work life balance for branch employees due to "efficient staffing model" (in other words-fewer branch employees to save $$.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan for more than a year

    Pros

The managers and colleagues I worked with at J.P Morgan were exceptional employees! The culture and environment is upscale and made you want to bring your best to the table each day.

    Cons

It's corporate fiancé so it's not like you are working for a company where you get to bring your dogs and kids with you to work. You go in to work and do business.
