I have been working at J.P. Morgan part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of benefits, great management, amazing flexibility with school schedule, friendly environment, opportunities for growth

    Cons

working with customers can sometimes be difficult, pressure to learn a lot of information quickly, but other than that there is really nothing bad to say about working in JPMorgan Chase's retail banking indistry

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, health, dental, 401k. Recently Chase has implemented a new tuition assistance program offering benefits to part time and full time employees for both college students and those getting professional certifications

    Cons

Changes can sometimes be frustrating but it's banking so that's to be expected. Only con about the tuition assistant is that you must stay with the company for a year following the assistance or pay the money back.

    Advice to Management

    No

I have been working at J.P. Morgan (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working here certainly has its perks. You know you will never have to come to work only to find out your company has gone under or is in deep financial crisis. They have a great vacation package and are working to make it easier to move around the company based on your goals and career choices.

    Cons

This company is huge and that means you are a number with no name and your opinion, unless accompanied by 10's of thousands of others, means very little in the grand scheme of things. Also, expect to hear the same corporate lingo and "attaboy" talk while the work on the real deal and business plan behind you. Often you will find yourself working very hard with little reward.

    Advice to Management

I would really encourage you to work on providing more resources for development and applying your resources well across all markets you have a presence in. Truly today the experience you get in California or another large market for the company is vastly different then you get in the Midwest or South which is disappointing for several who travel through or extend their stay in these places.

    Pros

Benefits were not bad. Other than that... none.

    Cons

Terrible, unskilled management, sales tactics are borderline disgusting, very unhappy people, job is mundane, pay is not worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Start over.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, pay, vacation. The training programs are top notch.

    Cons

Management is lacking in too many areas to list. Very self driven, rather than team driven. Expectations are not clear.

    Advice to Management

Incentive and goals need to match the ideals and overall goals of the bank. Too many decisions are made to benefit the banker rather than the customer.

    Pros

    Cons

Lack of transparency in the Bonus Program - High Pressure to Sell their proprietary products

    Advice to Management

Implement a Client Needs Focus rather than a Corporate Profitability Focus
