    Pros

Good learning opportunity to get yourself in the door in a professional white collar career. Decent pay

    Cons

Too much politics involved inside the org. Clients think its a customer service like at a grocery store. Hard to move up

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very few. The people in my branch were fun, and it looks good on a resume. Otherwise, the grass really is greener on the other side.

    Cons

Bankers are told by upper management (with 6 to 7 figure base salaries) that they don't understand why bankers are upset that their base salaries were frozen three years in a row. Specifically, we were told that "I haven't gotten a base salary increase in years."

Perhaps that would be comforting, if we got the perks and bonus package that she received. The commission structure is constantly changing, and leaves bankers in smaller, slower branches facing decreases in pay.

Moreover, Personal Bankers were told to direct all new accounts to Relationship Bankers, further hindering their opportunity to "decide their own raise" (how upper management justified not giving salary increases). These bankers are also commonly scheduled as tellers, because the company continues to downsize branch staffs.

Middle management is constantly changing and downsizing, so the people responsible for promoting and hiring have no clue who even works for them. I was a Personal Banker and a Manager On Duty, helping run two branches, sometimes even helping at a third and a fourth, but got 0 support when I wanted to be promoted and compensated for the job I was already doing.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up.

    Pros

Chase as a company is a great place to work. Offer Great benefits and chase is a good company to work for other than retail banking.

    Cons

Retail banking managers treat you like piece of dirt. They dont do anything and critize you for their work that they fail to do. Work more and not get compensated for.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the managers as they don't want to do anything. They complain to one another and collect their base salary
