I have been working at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are A+. The medical, dental, vision, etc. My medical reimbursement account saved me a ton of money.

The pay is good compared to other places in town.
People are very nice at the Springfield location.
    Lots of paid vacation.

    Shift variety

    Gifts and prizes at times

You get your own desk you don't have to share.
Lots of coaching and opportunity (only if you're good)

Nice building, lots to offer. Nice cafeteria.

    Good A/C

    Cons

Abusive callers, irate callers, etc. That was my biggest issue. I can't handle how insane the customers are at times and how I was being treated. Tons of the employees are on anti depressants/anxiety mess including myself.

So many people are bad at the job or lazy. At times they have no idea what they're talking about and this causes bad call backs.

Back to back phone calls basically all the time which is annoying. You can't even get a breath in and you've got someone waiting on you.

Everything you do is tracked. Stats are way way important & at times messed up. You've gotta watch it or management won't help change the error.

Management can be lazy at times & it's frustrating when someone just sits around not doing a ton.

    Unclear information. Tons of changes.

Call center environment. You literally sit at your desk all day glued to the phone.

Only 48 hours of sick time for a year. Other absences are not tolerated well by management.

    Advice to Management

More paid sick time or at least more absences allowed without extreme consequences. Realize how mentally demanding the job is.

I worked at J.P. Morgan (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, 401k, health insurance, vision and dental insurance, stock options, etc. The pay was good, too.

    Cons

Customers are accusatory because of misdealings in the past (housing market bubble) and the hours are long (I worked at a call center)
Not very flexible for your schedule.
Job itself is very dull and repetitive.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible with the employee's schedules.
More workplace outings and events to build camaraderie.
