    Pros

Working at this company is more like a government job. Very relaxed and quiet environment. Less work load and free goodies almost every other day.

    Cons

Very slow environment. Please don't talk much sir career advancement especially in this field. Still using old techniques and methods.

    Advice to Management

Should try to adapt more of a new generation culture

    Txw

    Cons

-Overly democratic culture making actionable insights hard to enact,
-Few SMEs in the tech space, specifically at the E/C suite levels,
-Inconsistent programs/processes across LoBs and an adversity to streamline,
-More "fat" than usual for an organization (but may be due to natural size of overall organization)

I worked at J.P. Morgan as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly people to work with. Many are very competent, as well. Opportunities for lateral movement within the firm seems high.

    Cons

Chaotic internal processes. Opportunities for upward mobility seems limited. Frequent leadership changes lead to serious lack of continuity. FTE's are continuously afraid of losing their IT jobs to contingent workers ("I can hire three of them for every one of you..." is a phrase one FTE told me he was once threatened with, when he asked if he could work from home). Firm Policy: absolutely NO "work from home" opportunities for IT workers (unless one is disabled).

    Advice to Management

Please focus on hiring/contracting AMERICAN workers. The ratio of foreign contingent workers to US citizens is astonishing... no wonder there is an employment crisis in our country. You pride yourself in the positive impact you bring to the communities you serve; please consider having a positive impact on the country you call your home, please consider hiring AMERICANS to fill your IT positions. Rather than bringing low-wage temporary workers to America by the thousands to fill IT positions that AMERICANS would LOVE to have, be a leader in giving those jobs back to the AMERICANS who live here.

I have been working at J.P. Morgan (More than 10 years)

    Pros

For me they have been waning. I'm struggling to find something positive to say.

    Cons

Cubicles have been replaced with "Hi efficiency work spaces",which is another way of saying no privacy or peace and quiet while you work.
Scattered work groups - Most of my peers and management are elsewhere; I don't work with anyone.
Lack of opportunities - I really feel like I don't meet H.R.'s needs so I don't foresee any upcoming opportunities for growth.

I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Prestigious Employer
    Decent Pay
    Solid Benefits
Good Opportunity for Veterans without much other experience, especially if they lack a solid education
    Minimal Education Required
    Informal Dress Code

    Cons

An AML/KYC Officer position at JP Morgan is heavily geared towards junior enlisted veterans who have just left the military. I would strongly advise against the position if you have a prestigious education or other qualifications. This job is an easy enough job, but offers little potential for growth.
Job was pitched as 9-5, but the expected hours as necessary to support the bankers. Compensation did not meet hours expectations.
Health insurance is expensive and not particularly good.

    Advice to Management

Please be clear to potential employees what the nature of the position will be. It does no one any good to hire employees who are significantly over qualified for a position unless you are going to present them with advancement opportunities.
