    Pros

Generally a good company to work for. Open, honest, and supportive.
Pay is not the best in the industry, but not the worst either.

    Cons

As with everywhere, sometimes you get the wrong manager or colleague on your department, which can make your working life difficult.

    I worked at J Sainsbury part-time

    Pros

On the whole I found them rather flexible, well structured and offered a variety of opportunities for progression.

    Cons

Younger members of staff were often overlooked and there was an expectation that any additional shifts would be picked up irrespective of availability.

    Advice to Management

Fundamentally a strong organisation with an excellent sense of its values and responsibilities, at times however it should focus less on enforcing strict procedures by providing employees with greater discretion of how to manage instore procedures.
