I have been working at J-U-B Engineers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Employees and clients come first and are equally valued. Excellent recognition for success and strong support when things go wrong.

    Excellent benefits and profit sharing.

    Cons

At times, too much effort has gone into retaining and retraining under performing employees. However, that comes with the strong family like environment of the company.

    Advice to Management

    None.

I worked at J-U-B Engineers (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good working atmosphere, most everyone is good to work with, diversity of experience and projects, good field experience, good benefits.

    Cons

You are paid salary with no pay for overtime. They do give bonuses, which aren't bad, but generally aren't equivalent to the amount of overtime. There have been executives in the past who could be fairly judgemental of those who don't see things exactly the way they do. At least in my office at a certain point there was no room for senior technical experts, everyone was expected to be an active marketer.

    Advice to Management

Make room for those who are good project managers or technical engineers, but may not be proficient marketers. Consider paying for some overtime, or give comp time for extra hours.

I worked at J-U-B Engineers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Frequent opportunities to work on a wide range of interesting projects. Hires great young staff and encourages substantial field experience. Reasonable attempt at fostering a "team" culture by hosting various events and by encouraging community involvement.

    Cons

Very top heavy corporate culture with very little room for upward mobility. Annual pay rather than hourly wages where significant overtime is expected. Reluctance to get rid of unproductive employees. Lack of future planning from senior management and corporate leadership resulting in significant employee turnover. Way behind the technology curve.

    Advice to Management

Trim 15% of upper and middle management to hire more junior staff to provide greater efficiency. Hire employees interested in making the company successful rather than to accomplish one specific project. "Lean out".
