I have been working at JAM as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Not transparent in finances and discriminate employees

    Advice to Management

No open door for employees to air their grivences

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at JAM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible, casual, and generally pleasant. Good lunch prices at the cafeteria.

    Cons

No real security or prospects for making a long-term go of it, poor salary offerings for the industry. These two factors are in danger of creating a dysfunctional 'we'll-take-the-employees-we-can-get' team and the effect on morale to go with it.

    Advice to Management

Utilize people to their potential. Don't make employees fight you for raises, it creates a poor atmosphere and unmotivated employees. Give people free coffee.

    Pros

Secure job, boss lets you do your job, stress free environment. Laid back environment and great co-workers. Nice head office and ok benefits. Parking for employees and cafeteria.

    Cons

No growth, not advancement, rigid structure, micro management. Salary 10-20% under market. No salary adjustments. Good for just out of school people to gain experience, but no or hardly any growth within the company.

    Advice to Management

Find out how to keep your good people working for you.
