I worked at JBT full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff, great benefits, interesting work

    Cons

As a field service engineer you will travel constantly, this was told to me but I still felt they misrepresented just how much travel is involved.

    Advice to Management

Bring college students in as interns - this field is relatively illusive until you are doing it. I thought it sounded very enticing but was bored by the work.

I have been working at JBT full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, room for growth, maintence is less demanding than many production factories.

    Cons

Not the best pay, can sometimes lack materials to get the job done, some sites are more organized and efficient than others

    Advice to Management

Some sites need to be more uniform in parts usage and tracking. More SOPs should be available for getting work orders completed.

I worked at JBT (Less than a year)

    Pros

I got some amazing experience at JBT Aerotech as an intern. I obtained experience in engineering design changes using NX, hands on engineering testing experience testing Deicers using accelerometers, strain gauges and running a stress analysis test. I also received experience in some coding software as well.

    Cons

The faculty should have done a better job at distributing the grunt work instead of leaving it up to the head inter. I got stuck with most of it which i felt was unfair.

    Advice to Management

Take more initiative at distributing the grunt work evenly.

I worked at JBT full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent Pay and benefits but to get better coverage you really have to pay a lot more. Coworkers that have stayed long term very nice to work with.

    Cons

If put on night shift it is next to impossible to get transferred to a day shift at all, this one fact has led to many employees quitting.

    Advice to Management

Start treating all shifts equally and stop playing favorites. moral was low when hired throughout and never changed.

    Pros

Easy work schedule enjoyed working on Jetways and Benefits plans.

    Cons

Absentee Supervisor. Takes no interest in seeing that justice is dispensed fairly. He predetermines outcome before interviewing the employees individually. Advice to prospective employees at this site in Phoenix, don't ever attempt to share the Company own policies with it's own co-workers or Supervisor or you will be threatened with separation. My HR Department choose not to answer my repeated calls (8) for 6 weeks until I was wrongfully walked )Proof of calls). I have an impressive resume and was with the Company 7 months before the supervisor has determined that " I don't know the job". I'm former Military with a Quality Assurance Award 9 Letters of supporting Documentation from both Army and The Air Force. Experience with Boeing in Factory and Flight Test Division and at McDonnell Douglas in the Factory.

    Advice to Management

There has been several serious problems long before I got to this Companies location unrelated to my tenure time here. Consider my ability for a Supervisor Position that will listen to the employees and who will enforce Companies Policies without personal prejudice. I will reward Employees who have proof of there loyalty and have evidence against policy violators safety and otherwise. Please Contact me through AeroTech office in Phoenix as I would like an opportunity improve or keep my position here. FYI This has been my only way to reach out to the Corporate leadership without Supervisor filtering my concerns. Why the 6 week delay by HR? Answered my call only after being walked... Then says they will now do an investigation?

I have been working at JBT full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are an aggressively growing company. They recruit from local colleges. They offer good benefits and a decent starting salary.

    Cons

They have a small problem with turnover. Often promising new employees are overworked, particularly in jobs requiring travel, and not developed as assets, leaving them feeling under-appreciated.

    Advice to Management

I was told during the interview that they'd pay for college, but found out later it's nearly impossible to make it actually happen. Follow through with that promise and more people will stay.
