    Pros

Mature company trying to uplift itself to be a business and management leader in its market segment of food processing equipment design and manufacturing, so there are many opportunities for a forward thinker and self motivated professional to shine.

    Cons

Slow culture change but top site management and corporate executives are committed to change which is a good start.

    Advice to Management

    Keep going.

I have been working at JBT full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

When I think of one I update my review.

    Cons

Management doesn't manage projects to the point they give a project to the engineering department months late and still ask them to complete the project as if they have had it for months.
Very little resources available to complete projects.
They say they are a ISO 9001 certified company but they don't follow any of their written policies, and they lack policies for almost everything.
Management asks the engineers to give more even when they have given a lot as if their efforts were worthless or unnoticed.
They are starting to cut corners on product quality in order to bring down their cost.
They lie to their customer on how we are doing in meeting their requirements.

    Advice to Management

This place needs to be reworked from top to bottom. The whole culture fights change.

I worked at JBT full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff, great benefits, interesting work

    Cons

As a field service engineer you will travel constantly, this was told to me but I still felt they misrepresented just how much travel is involved.

    Advice to Management

Bring college students in as interns - this field is relatively illusive until you are doing it. I thought it sounded very enticing but was bored by the work.

    Pros

Decent pay, room for growth, maintence is less demanding than many production factories.

    Cons

Not the best pay, can sometimes lack materials to get the job done, some sites are more organized and efficient than others

    Advice to Management

Some sites need to be more uniform in parts usage and tracking. More SOPs should be available for getting work orders completed.
