I have been working at JC Resorts full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Wonderful Atmosphere, lots of windows, plants, etc.

    Cons

You determine your schedule, but you may only come into work when you have a client. Even though your are on the schedule 40 hours, you may only have the opportunity to work none. there may be weeks without a pay check. It is seasonal, so it may be this way 5 months out of the year.

    Advice to Management

Give all employees benefits that are offered. The current benefits are only used by employees who "know someone". The rest of us do not get to enjoy them.

Pays via Paper Check or Direct Deposit. DD is set up quickly. Pay is 98% on time without issue. Quick to resolve pay discrepancies.

I worked at JC Resorts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Better pay than the industry standard. Free stay with meals once a quarter. Great learning experience. Free employee lunches. Sales incentives.

    Cons

Other departments named the call center "The Dungeon" due to its lack of windows, doors, and natural light. Getting promoted requires a threat to quit with another job offer. Grey areas in a lot of ethical situations. Having to take calls non-stop most days. High turnover. Work every weekend and holiday other than Christmas and New Years Day. Cold calling previous guests during down time.

    Advice to Management

Read all of these reviews and fix the problems.

    I worked at JC Resorts

    Pros

I worked in the Pool and Beach Division and they are the best crew I've ever worked with - Provide break time meals that come from catering, so 90% of what they serve is pretty good. If you're lucky you can get hooked up with a gourmet from 1555 or Splashes. - Value their employees immensely with promotional programs just for fun and rewards programs when an employee goes above and beyond their responsibilities...

    Cons

    - It's kind of annoying dealing with the local kids who sneak into the pool area and steal towels constantly, but if you're vigilant then it's pretty easy to control them. - None. If you get the opportunity to work in Pool and Beach, do it!!

    Advice to Management

Updating the stock of beach chairs and umbrellas would be nice, as they are pretty outdated. Find a way to tell people who've only just eaten at the restaurant (and are not guests) that just because they ate at the hotel they are not entitled to beach setup service. Other than that keep doing what you're doing, I loved working here.
