      Pros

Learned a lot of work related skills from other co-workers, location is good since it was in the city centre, met a lot of nice people.

      Cons

A bit muddled with their management, the office layout felt like a call centre.

I worked at JD Williams full-time for more than 10 years

        Pros

Long term success story. Company made things happen. Very nice people worked there. Good package spread across all workforce. Good results

        Cons

As company became successful, politics grew as many people saw themselves as author of that success. Customer value proposition declined.

        Advice to Management

Much of success is down to a small number of individuals. Identify and look after these stars. Ensure value is retained for customers, since if trust is lost, then business will suffer.

        No opinion of CEO

I worked at JD Williams full-time

        Pros

        - Good training. - Free courses available I went on Presentation skills, Negotiation skills and Excel intermediate course. - Nice people to work with, feels like a family.

        Cons

        - VERY outdated - Systems are infuriating, a simple job would take hours because the systems don't interlink and you end up wasting your time on mindless data input. - Management are bias (trading manager freezing pay rises and making members redundant but then hires wife for a unnecessary role on top wage?) - I was sole assistant over two departments because trading manager wouldn't hire anyone else but also won't...

        Advice to Management

Stop exploitating of employees; Employees get manipulated into roles with more responsibility without any salary increase.
