    Pros

Great construction team, well organized company, opportunities to work anywhere.

    Cons

Maybe too big depending on your taste, seems a little impersonal.

I have been working at JE Dunn Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strong culture throughout the company (which I found hard to believe for such a large company). The CEO gets it as does the regional and local Houston leadership. Great projects and clients. Focuses on the right markets. Great people in all positions throughout the company. A company is only as good as its people and there are a lot of great ones here.

    Cons

There were some employees who didn't do their jobs thereby putting the burden on others, which I don't like to see. However, over the past couple of years since I have joined, most/all have either moved-on or straightened up.

    Advice to Management

Culture is important, don't lose it as I have seen other firms do. It starts at the top.

    Pros

Great people with very solid ethics. Challenge their people every day. Big focus on safety. ESOP company which provides great benefit to retirement account.

    Cons

Fairly conservative company, but that isn't always a bad thing. Health insurance is average.

I have been working at JE Dunn Construction full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture is above and beyond what I've seen in a typical construction company. The dedication of the team to the client's experience is unmatched.

    Cons

Not a whole lot that I can think of. Maybe just the unnecessary amount of new software and technologies rolled out every year.

    Pros

Great people, great culture, and a clear path to move up to the next level. The company compensates you well if you need to work out of town.

    Cons

Lots of hours and below market pay. ESOP is not as good as it sounds. Even though the compensate you well for out of town work, your still working out of town away from your family.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up.

I worked at JE Dunn Construction (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, great co-workers and management. Any overtime you're lucky to do is generously compensated.

    Cons

Hard on your knees, back, and feet - don't be out of shape. You'll be spending the majority of your paychecks on tools and equipment for the first several months.

    Advice to Management

It's rare for management to honestly care about the well-being of their subordinates. Keep that up, it is appreciated.

    Pros

Great company to start off and learning experience with. started first engineering/ construction management experience here, very hands on and learn for future jobs how the industry works.

    Cons

very large company scale overall. therefore the one on one experience is not as expected or as effective.

    Advice to Management

allow interns to perform work shadowing a project manager or project engineer.
