I have been working at JEAR Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dedicated management, endless opportunity, and a supportive team to work with. The benefits are AWESOME and it's really cool to be apart of the growth. Working with JEAR is working with family.

    Cons

Not for the faint of heart. If you don't want to grind for your own success, this isn't the place for you.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I worked at JEAR Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Work Events
    Potential for high Income

    Cons

Long hours outside of what is required if you want to be successful
    Cold Calling
Constant pressure and threats by managers

    Advice to Management

Constant threats of being fired does not motivate your employees to do better. The moral in the office with the ones that are trying to get on commission is very low. This explains why the turnover is so high.

I worked at JEAR Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at JEAR was an all-around amazing experience! The office culture is fun, but professional and the management staff is top notch. Every day, the president and the vice-president take time out of their busy schedules to personally interact with their employees and make sure everyone is doing well and working together. Needless to say, this shows JEAR really cares about their employees. The benefits are great, the training program is personalized and in-depth and day-to-day business is enjoyable & rewarding. JEAR goes out of their way to make sure employee reach their full potential and continue to grow in their career every day.

    Cons

Occasionally (only in emergencies situations) I had to work after hours and on weekends, however all my extra work was recognized and rewarded!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

    Environment, team support, benefits

    Cons

While it may seem like "the sky is the limit" at Jear - truth is no one that was hired to work at Jear in 2015 is currently on commission. It's a very long road to get there unless you have connections in the produce/transportation industry. They have an egotistical boss that makes bets with everyone and rarely pays them out. And get ready to bust your behind for 50-55 hours a week for a measly $1000 check. There's many other places to make more money, turn over is high and majority of people on commission were given accounts

    Advice to Management

7-530 is really not needed - this job can be done from home. No one is doing anything from 730-830 anyways

I have been working at JEAR Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

JEAR is a fast-paced company that is continuously growing in our industry & in the Charleston community. The culture has to be one of the best things about working at JEAR - everyone works extremely hard to be successful for their self & the company as a whole. We are all friends inside & outside of the office, which makes coming to work each day enjoyable! One of our core values, "all work as one, together as one" is truly the mindset of all JEAR employees, and is followed by all levels within the company. The managers are very approachable & really care about each employee individually, which cannot always be easy to find when seeking a company to work for. Other advantages to working at JEAR - great benefits, unlimited growth within the company, sales experience, outside events, etc.

    Cons

This is a 24/7 industry - similar to what others have said, if you are not willing to put in the work, this may not be the right fit for you. Having a strong work/life balance can be tough in this industry, so if that is something you are really looking for, JEAR might not be the place for you.

I have been working at JEAR Logistics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

JEAR offers the best work environment for sales professionals who really dream big. There are two veteran Sales Managers, one is dedicated per team of about ten brokers, and they are always there to support and motivate you to achieve more. Each broker has one or two logistics coordinators who sell the freight hauls to trucking companies, and each of these coordinators are given 3 to 4 months of working for a broker to learn the ins and outs of the business and then go through sales training before entering the life of brokerage fully. The owners of the company are routinely present and communicating with all levels of workers here, which is not something you find at most companies. It is special to be able to talk casually with the owners of a 50+ person company that has been in the Inc 500 for the past three years. If you are interested in starting a sales career with a great, fun, young and limitless company, then join JEAR

    Cons

once in brokerage full time and managing your account, you will be expected to handle all issues that arise related to your account. this may entail a truck fall-out late at night, but it usually only takes 15mins on the phone to sort out issues and then you can get back to your precious sleep or weekend partying.
