I have been working at JG Wentworth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I’ve really enjoyed working at JG Wentworth. I’d definitely recommend it for young professionals who want to gain high-level experience early on in their careers. We have a great reputation and management is always willing to give opportunities to those who are willing to step up. I can say with certainty that working there has made a huge difference in my career path.

    Cons

Everyone and then a job won’t go as planned, which can be stressful.

    Pros

    - Honest people. When management says they're going to do something, they do.
    - I feel like I'm set up to succeed at all times.
    - Really nice workspace.
    - Great coworkers. I've made a lot of friends there.
    - Impressive CEO who clearly cares about us.

    Cons

    - The amount of time you need to put in to be successful depends a lot in the qualty of your leads.

I worked at JG Wentworth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was decent, they provide food at the end of the month, and Branch manager was cool

    Cons

Upper management is not considerate at all to employees that have tenure with the company. They need to keep their personal feelings out of their judgment and make the right decision for the company.

    Advice to Management

Help those who help the company. There was a time when the company was short staffed and only a few people would work from 9-1am the next day. Those people were not awarded for there help but instead let go later. It’s not right

More training for the younger employees

    Pros

You get paid $16.83/hour to make 200+ cold calls a day.
Place has Colombo coffee, that's a plus, also has a decent workout facility.

    Cons

From the third day on you cold call 200+ people and maybe talk to 3 or 4 people, many of which have been called by JGW for upwards of 5-10 years despite requesting not to be called anymore. It is not so much a sales job, the goal is to get people to sell structured settlements, using present value which many customers do not understand.

    Advice to Management

Give more help, training is not very helpful. Depending on which team lead will make or break the experience.

    Pros

Flexible, but you have to work nights and weekends to be paid

    Cons

Management only looks out for them, and has zero vision or constructive advice.
They are always threatening your job. High turn around, little help.

    Advice to Management

    Quit

I worked at JG Wentworth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Minimum of 8+ new leads per day and management is flexible with hours as long as you are getting your work done. You can call older leads indefinitely all day so potential income is extremely high.

    Cons

Majority of the leads come from Lending Tree and you may have to make dozens of calls and emails before having any good conversations. There is also no base pay so you won't make any money with significant effort.

I worked at JG Wentworth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun people to work with, national company, number one in its field. good place to get early office and sales experience

    Cons

Management keeps looking to repeat things they did in 2008 to work for the company now. quick turn around on reps and no career path. Training isn't standard or very strong

    Advice to Management

Evolve and stop changing commission plans. Learn how to do more than one thing.
