I have been working at JG Wentworth (More than a year)

    Pros

nothing positive to say. much work is needed on their end to improve the overall culture and structure of this organization.

    Cons

Horrible leadership, no diversity at the top, lack of professionalism -however, there is plenty of favoritism, nepotism. Those within the company do not have current knowledge and skill set to move this company forward. It is still the good ole boy network. There is no such thing as discretion or confidentiality. The people are dishonest and only seek to keep their job. No room for advancement, no training or advanced education to keep the employee's skill set and knowledge relevant. HUGE lack of business acumen and integrity. Stocks plummeted - $14.00 a share two years ago, now $.35 a share.

    Advice to Management

The board needs to fire upper management. I've never seen a CEO who did not deliver still be gainfully employed.

    Pros

It is the best place to too learn how to loose all of those pesky morals.

    Cons

It is an absolute boys club! You either fit in our you get eaten alive. The management from the top down are clueless and inexperienced. They are completely unprofessional and could not care any less about the staff.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

I worked at JG Wentworth full-time

    Pros

    Co-workers are great people
    Pay is alright

    Cons

    lack of communication
    management
going through rough times and a lot of layoffs
    favoritism
    no recognition for working hard
hard to take vacations (if you do, you're basically punished)
    No room to advance

    Advice to Management

Honestly, I would suggest starting over. Structured settlements are dying (stop lying to yourselves that it's not), and focus on Mortgages. Start communicating with your employees and treating them like workhorses. If you're in the executive wing, stop looking down at employees not at your level. Stewart needs to go if you want the company to survive or just shut the doors now.

    Pros

Free daily Starbucks and Cafeteria onsite that was reasonable.

    Cons

    Leave your morals at home.

    Advice to Management

There is nothing I can suggest that would make a difference in any way. They must know with the high turn over rate, that is a reason.

    Pros

Well the only one pro to this company is you can potentially make good friends. Oh yea and then there's favoritism. Oh wait, that's a con.

    Cons

Everything...company ran by a dictator. The boat sinks deeper and deeper every day. He will not save you. He doesn't care!

    Advice to Management

    Just resign

I worked at JG Wentworth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Dress code
Bonus and kickers before the company stopped giving them
Certain people were great to work with

    Cons

Certain VP'S in operations play favorites with certain individuals
    Lack of consistent training
Communication is lousy-one has to guess what is happening next

    Advice to Management

Need new blood in the company. Certain people in charge have been there way to long. Time to get rid of the dinosaurs. There is only one V.P. there that treats people fairly and is a great manager. Other managers should follow his managing techniques. CEO needs to start looking at what's going on in operations.

    Pros

Customer service experience. Some managers genuinely care. You just have to be lucky enough to work under one of them.

    Cons

Clearly there is a mismanagement of funds going on here. The company is laying off employees left and right, but continues to try and promote "fun" activities that are costly for the company. They need to realize the status of things and cut back. The process is completely backwards and the people doing the most work are getting the least amount of compensation. Morale is low and every one is fearful for their jobs, yet the higher ups do not even acknowledge what is taking place.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees. Don't let them be blindsided and be honest about the status of things. Ask the people in the trenches how things are and what suggestions could make things better. It would be nice to be heard once in a while.
