    Positive Outlook

I have been working at JGC Philippines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They hire fresh graduates and train them to understand the whole business regardless of their discipline. Afterwards, the scpecialization training is continuous through exposures in projects thus helps maintain a foothold to the employees understanding of the whole business.

    Cons

At times when project demands too much work. They deal with it head on, thus employees experience overstaying in the office and even on holidays and weekends. Opportunity for assigment to project locations is not balanced throughout the company.

    Advice to Management

Balance the work that is done by each employee and if possible to give equal opportunity to all though it need not be just assigments but fair compensation as well depending on the amount of work that is contributed by each individual.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at JGC Philippines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are so much things to learn from this company if you are planning to develop your engineering career in oil and gas industry. JGC runs entirely in a Japanese-base culture where everything runs in a systematic approach.

Good training ground for junior engineers.

    Cons

Sometimes, there is a below average chance that you will be able to shift from one team to another team thus limiting your capabilities to become an overall engineer.

Overtime is overwhelming that sometimes nothing is left in my social life.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the goodwork!

    Pros

Overall there is a good camaraderie among employees.
There is importance given to training of their employees.
    Opportunities for overseas assignment.

    Cons

Promotion heavily leans on the tenure. Merit system does not have much effect.
Salary is so-so if you are based locally.

    Advice to Management

Management gives extra effort to understand their employees more.
People should be recognized more to give booster. Be constructive with your criticisms.
