A lot of things to learn and opportunity for growth.
Management is always looking for better ways to improve.
People here are very nice and courteous.
Company values hard working and creative people.

    Cons

Not that I can think of right now.

    Advice to Management

Always look for feedback from individual (non-manager) and different department.

    Pros

    Maybe office location is ok

    Cons

Obviously those 'positive reviews' are from management in this company. Whoever worked at this place will feel the opposite way. I worked for over 5 employers in total, never seen a place so 'Chinese'. I mean negative part of Chinese culture--totally no transparent, manager judge team members by his or her personal interest, tense relationship between team members, some Chinese manager has no any respect to team members, you get recognize not because of your performance but because of you know someone in upper-level, some Chinese managers encourage employees to complain each other so managers can know lots of 'secrets'. You know how you feel in this kind of place.

    Advice to Management

Some fake review said 'self guide', it means no any training, no mentor, no SOP. I suggest you put more efforts on improving your working culture instead of trying to pretend your company is good. It's like a joke to say career growth in JLA, They give title at will: Manager's friends get promoted with a few months without performance, other employees get lowest salary while do the major amount of works.
Most Chinese employees expect green card from your company, that's the only reason they still stay. Otherwise your employee turnover rate can be as high as 100% under such kind of management skill.

I have been working at JLA Home (More than a year)

    Pros

As much responsibility and challenge as you one can handle. Delegation by the strong to the strong is the order of the day. If you are lame, you won't last long (see negative reviews by disgruntled washouts). The work is collaborative in a team environment of intelligent, hard-working professional who are smart caring winners who love their time on the job and have lives outside of work as well. This company is very successful because the people at the top who are running it are exceptional people. You are appreciated if you are an asset to the Company - management really does care about people and creating and maintaining a good work place.

    Cons

When you first start, the pay may be below industry average. However, after you've proven yourself, you will be well compensated.

    Advice to Management

Keep what works, eliminate what does not work.

I worked at JLA Home (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Some co workers
    Its a J.O.B.

    Cons

I like how upper management started posted fake reviews when most employees left because of them. "If you are lame, you won't last long (see negative reviews by disgruntled washouts)" Turnover rate for new people continuously to be high for a reason.
When you have some managers thinking its OK to yell at their employees then you know what kind of company you are really in for.

    Advice to Management

keep posting fake reviews by upper management. Smart reviewers will know how to weed out the fake ones.

I worked at JLA Home full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice restaurants nearby. Hours are flexible. Close to home. Easy access to freeway. People in my department are nice, while the other people in another department act like you dont exist.

    Cons

No equality. Only favors chinese employees. Poor management. The head of my department has no backbone, no wonder they people leave every 2 months. Horrible insurance.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to pay attention to each employees. They need not to favor chinese employees only. There are some employees that actually work you know, and they deserve better pay than what you give them. Just because they are not chinese does not mean they don't deserve to be respected.

    Pros

One of the largest bedding manufacturers.
Have large conglomerate accounts to boast. Wal-Mart, Target, Sam's, Costco., etc.
    Easily freeway accessible.
    Lax environment.

    Cons

It is a Chinese owned company, the Chinese employees talk in front of you in their language and do not care if you are involved, even during business meetings.
If you are not Chinese you are disregarded as second class.
Bluntly, the CEO will not have dinner with non-Chinese because he simply does not want to speak English. This is company culture as well.
Do not care about employee growth, promotions, raises.
High turnover, and good people leave because they question operational and logistical systems.

    Pros

Company hires some great people, most of my coworkers we're awesome people and worked hard. Good sense of work/life balance. A lot of interesting projects that never got boring.

    Cons

Poor management. Even management was not empowered to make any real changes because it was a very Chinese company. The top management does not like to be told the truth. A lot of family working in the office and family members bought onboard early on. Some are very good at their jobs but others are just soso and ends up hard to work with because they have to be treated delicately. CEO can be MIA frequently working on his other projects. Too much office politics.

    Advice to Management

Need to modernize the company and invest more back into infrastructure and people.

    Pros

The employees are generally decent and most you can build a good rapport with. My team mates were great and I miss our daily grind. I wish them well and hopefully something changes to benefit them.

    Cons

There is a big imbalance with how different groups are treated in the company at the Corporate level. If your part of the Chinese group that works with China directly, you are treated extremely well. Other areas are treated horribly as if they are second class citizens. Being in California, there is sure to be a lawsuit cultivated from this action. Its inevitable.

    Advice to Management

Treat all departments equally. You give out titles like candy yet, when it comes to other departments that are "Not Chinese" you tend to give them nothing and expect the world.
