    I have been working at JLL full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Lots of opportunities, but only if you know how to look for them.
    There is also a lot of great support systems and processes in place.
    Colorado changed to rollover PTO days, which made the use or lose more tolerable.

    Cons

    Working on an account, you will feel extremely siloed from other accounts, which limits your ability to network internally and find some of those opportunities available.
    Working on an account, there is little opportunity to increase your base pay. Whatever you start with will be what you stick with without moving accounts or being promoted.
    Because everything is set, it is tough to innovate sometimes, and you rarely hear feedback from ideas you bring to the table.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees and allow them to see their proposed changes take wing.

    Pros

    JLL is a leader in the brokerage industry with an unparalleled global reputation. JLL employs a talented team and works with the best investors and occupiers in the world. Lots of fun perks, client events, sports outings, etc.

    Cons

    If you're not a producer, you're a cost center, and the brokers treat you that way. There is limited upward mobility and the company has little desire to grow and retain talent internally - they would also rather have you go to a future client.

    Advice to Management

    Develop a plan to grow and retain talent.

    I worked at JLL (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great Benefits and Ok pay structure.

    Cons

    They let good people go without any kind of right ups are conseling's. After almost 11 yrs of service . Poor management and no supppet from management .

    Advice to Management

    Keep the people who bust there butts for you and your client's . That's never even been counseled or even wrote up for that matter.
    But let a Manager over that person just come in after you have worked more than 26 hours in two days time giving all you can give . That pretty sad . But then turn around and fire another co-worker that has been written up multiple times and hire him back in the same day .

    I worked at JLL full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive benefits package. Vacation, health, etc start on day one. Very laid back atmosphere that focuses on developing highly valued talent. I had one amazing manager and one manager who was just "meh". Depending on your manager, the culture is amazing.

    Cons

    Salary and promotions are not conducive with performance. Reach the salary "cap" very quickly (within two years). In order to achieve salary increases, you must find a new position within the firm. Local positions are difficult to find. Redeployment opportunities are depressing when a contract expires or your position is eliminated. Despite high performance, strong output, and glowing manager recommendations and management involvement in identifying new opportunities; HR seems very disengaged in supporting internal talent. Onboarding process was extremely chaotic and not clearly defined.

    Advice to Management

    Celebrate your internal talent! The firm is losing highly valued employees by no supporting them in finding new positions when contracts expire or positions are eliminated due to budget. Your talent is walking out the door to your competition.

    Pros

    Results-driven, quality organization. The opportunity to work remotely is sometimes enough to make you overlook the crazy.

    Cons

    There's a profound culture of micro management that is almost paralyzingly at times. People are viewed as "things" to be managed instead of hearts and minds to be led as evidenced by the company's "people manager" concept, program and training.

    Advice to Management

    Consider revising your "people manager" concept and culture. Things are managed; people are led. Professionals value autonomy and the ability to be strategic thinkers in an open, respectful and trusting environment.

    I worked at JLL full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The company has good people;
    They also have great online ressources and an experienced team;
    The work / life balance is what you make of it - it's all about time management

    Cons

    The NYC team is paid below market salary;
    Company wide, promotions don't come with major salary increases;
    In addition to that promotions aren't based heavily on performance

    Advice to Management

    Manage, be present, know the projects, be able to sell the business, and teach others to do all these things

    I worked at JLL full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Benefits are good and the hours are good always got my 40. People I found very interesting.

    Cons

    At my location in Arizona the management are out to lunch. They have no idea what they are doing. They fly by the seat of their pants. Very poor management in Az. Honeywell account.

    Advice to Management

    It not for Jll you as managers would not have a job. Jll is the only place poor management gets thata boy and raises while the real backbone workers have to put up with your ignorant decisions.
