I worked at JMA Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits, including retirement and health benefits great.

    Cons

The organization is top-heavy with family members and friends the majority of whom lack knowledge of the industry.

    Advice to Management

The CEO should focus less on “partying” and more on the business.

I worked at JMA Solutions full-time

    Pros

    Decent benefits. Big Christmas party

    Cons

Upper management is full of smiling faces, like that song by Traffic (if you are old enough to remember them). But they are two-faced liars. Highly technocratic environment with no concern for the employee's welfare, especially if the employee fails to check in any of the preferred diversity squares.

    Advice to Management

When your employees come to you for advice, don't lie and tell them all is fine, as you are colluding with the client to get rid of them.

    Pros

Game tickets to DC sports, laid back environment, great location by metro, allows teleworking and good holiday party.

    Cons

Upper management are exclusive to themselves and lack transparency. No organizational structure to communication or plan for employee growth. They don't look out for employee's best interest but instead cut their ties if its convenient for them.

    Advice to Management

Provide more training and mentor-ship for employees. Be honest with employees give better raises based on performance not the 1-2% raises with a one time mediocre bonus.

I have been working at JMA Solutions (More than a year)

    Pros

The people at the staff and middle mgmt level are very smart and nice to work with.

    Cons

DO NOT APPLY HERE!!! I would give no stars for work life and senior mgmt if I could.
There is no organizational structure. If you express concerns, they will make your life a living hell. Leadership makes weird business decisions that do not make sense and non-verbal communication is condescending. They offer perks like sporting event tickets and gives at company events but it is not a fair system; they pick their favorites.
There is a lot of favoritism where some can be complacent and mess up continually but will never get in trouble while others work their tails off and mgmt will find every reason possible to scrutinize any errors or flaws no matter how small.

    Advice to Management

Revise your work perk package to offer perks related to work such as an annual allowance to purchase suits and professional dress.
Listen to your Subject Matter Experts more. If you hired someone with education and experience in a specific field, at least hear their recommendations before dismissing them.

    Pros

JMA treats all employees like family. They ensure you receive perks as well as opportunities to learn new things and grow individually. They are all about professional development.

    Cons

JMA does not have that many contracts to be able to move around within the company if you want to leave your particular office.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide a perfect work/life balance to employees.
