I worked at JNU full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the best University in India. Almost all type of research facilities are available within or nearby the university campus. Ph.D. takes about 5-6 Years normally. Apart from that hostel facilities are available for Outstation candidates. Very safe campus with intellectual environment and a good platform for student politics too. Regular Seminars and debates are organized on latest national and international issues. Campus has an excellent green belt.

    Cons

Ph.D. takes almost 6 years completely and by the time viva-voce is completed its another one year is gone in science stream.

    Advice to Management

The administrative work needs to be fasten so that students fellowships should be released in time. Moreover Male students from Delhi should also get regular hostel facility so that they can also utilize their time efficiently without wasting their time daily in traffic.
