I worked at JP Kenny full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at JPKenny. The open and supportive attitude allowed me to learn quickly.

    Cons

There is no room for advancement. Training was mostly useless as was the mentorship system in my case.

    Advice to Management

The training system needs work. As it is most of the training involves showing up on your day off and listening to someone explain a program that you never get to use while giving you almost no hands on experience. For me the mentorship system did not work out at all. There needs to be more support for the mentors and the mentees especially for those working out of the office at other companies. I worked at JP Kenny full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

The paycheck always cleared the bank.

    Cons

Since being bought by Wood Group the culture has disappeared. Also sold the idea of being safer in tough industry times, but have proven to let people go just as fast as they can.

I have been working at JP Kenny full-time

      Pros

Small - medium size company that provides you with the ability to work independently, yet within a project team. No micro-management of performance; rather, the open door communication and encouragement by all managers and mentors.

      Cons

Clients who do not provide accurate information or change it consistently; scope-creep syndrome. Sense of disconnect when placed in a client's office.

      Advice to Management

Spend some time walking about the office and personalizing your time. Attend team-building events and get to know people by site. Help define career growth for employees.
