I worked at JUICE Pharma full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Innovative, smart and well managed, JUICE is an independent agency owned by its founders who care a lot about the quality of the team and its work and the quality of life for its employees. With deep ties to anchor clients, they have evolved across channels and expanded their reach across clinical sectors in the last few years.

    Cons

Some are concerned about the concentration of revenues in a few big clients. Others want a larger, broader platform to work on.

I worked at JUICE Pharma (More than a year)

    Pros

-smart people who know the healthcare industry very well

    -good work/life balance.

    Cons

-At the time, my supervisor had very little knowledge of the digital world. Juice is primarily print centric advertising, but it's trying to be more digital. Hopefully they've kept up and evolved, so that they can explain to clients all the possibilities and limitations of web design and development.

-the long term employees there are very cliquey and can be stand-offish.

    Pros

Everyone is nice and friendly and the office has a relaxed environment - no cubicles, and lots of common areas with a cool aesthetic. I really liked that desks were organized by project teams rather than departments, so it was really a cohesive effort to finish projects.

    Cons

While I learned about pharma advertising, I did not learn much related to my department. I spent most days at my desk performing menial tasks, and frequently had nothing to do. In my interview I was told that training depends on initiative, but when I asked how I could be more involved with projects, I was often told to wait for something to come up. There just seemed to be little thought as to how an intern could meaningfully learn and contribute to projects.

    Advice to Management

Prepare a list of goals and objectives for interns from each department. Interns come to learn and develop skills to use when kicking off their career, and should leave with a definable skill set.

I have been working at JUICE Pharma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Strong culture of respect and nice people. If you have to spend 45+ hours a week somewhere this is a good place to be. Leadership wants to help people advance—not threatened by up and comers. Overall, not run by one department (such as Account or copy).

The agency has strengthened its digital capabilities and know-how over the past 3-4 years. Strong and patient digital strategy and UX team.

The agency has evolved its creative process beyond traditional HCP print work over the past few years as they expand into more HCC and digital work.

    Cons

    Sometimes people are too nice.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work on internal communication across the entire agency.

I worked at JUICE Pharma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hip environment. Lots of client contact for creatives.

    Cons

Hate the open office space. Very hard to concentrate on work. We never saw the partners. There was a constant cloud over the office's head in anticipation of upper management selling the company.

    Advice to Management

    Make yourselves more accessible.

I have been working at JUICE Pharma full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Love it here. People are friendly, the atmosphere is a lot like a start-up without the stress and the leaders are not afraid to work alongside employees.

Easy to get involved and learn new skills -in fact, this is highly encouraged here.

    Awesome video department.

    Highly creative minds.

    Cons

Smaller company so little room for upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Put more resources into project managers.

I have been working at JUICE Pharma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Juice Pharma has invested heavily in the digital offering in the past several years, adding talent and experience to the digital strategy, user experience, video, and project management capabilities. With about 50% of Juice's business being digital, they have also invested heavily in offline capabilities, especially Strategic Planning and Creative. Great innovative culture.

    Cons

Rapid growth has forced Juice to expand to multiple floors in the building, and management is figuring out how to maintain the close-knit culture that has been the agency's hallmark.

    Advice to Management

Continue to maintain a close relationship with the employees -- it has helped differentiate Juice from the holding company agencies.

    Pros

Casual atmosphere, young staff and nice Macbook pros make this a nice agency. There is a distinct culture created and led by the partners. Senior managment is accessable if you can track them down. Located close to Penn Station for those commuting from NJ or Long Island.

    Cons

There is a lack of true digital capabilities for the amount of website work produced. This may be resolved, but no digital PMs, no analytics, only 2 digital producers, no SEO. Very light in the account planning/strategy dept. It's really a print shop struggling to adapt and be digital. It's a small agency growing very fast and struggle with the identity and infrastructure. Long time staff are not really welcoming or friendly. They seem uncomfortable with the influx of new people.
