I have been working at JWT INSIDE full-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
Part consultancy, part communications shop, you will partner with leading companies (and their leadership teams) to align their workforces, define and amplify their cultures to inspire their employees, attract the right talent and drive their business results. It's rewarding on many levels.
Cons
It's lean. You'll roll up your sleeves and learn new things daily. Go from specialist to generalist. You need to be resourceful and network across the agency. Paths aren't super clear. So you have the opportunity to pave your own path, be entrepreneurial.
I have been working at JWT INSIDE full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Culture is great and getting better.
Leadership is genuinely concerned with personal growth of employees and is working on strategies to improve overall employee satisfaction levels.
You get to work with some great people and clients.
Office has multiple "events" each month, ranging from full-blown parties to a drink around the company bar.
Work is typically rewarding.
You can make a difference in the agency with your opinion (No person/staff is too small to be heard).
Start-up mentality with the support of a large agency.
Free food (often), snacks (always), and drinks (always).
Lenient dress code. Hat, jeans, joggers, etc.
Family benefits are fantastic and very affordable compared to others.
Telecommute policy of 1 day a week.
Teams for each section (a lot of the "multiple hats" mentality seems dissipated).
My overall experience with JWT INSIDE has been amazing. Are some days harder than others? Sure, but that's true with any job. Here, you get a real chance to work with great people and great clients as well as make a difference to the team and to the agency as a whole. I personally couldn't be happier that I accepted the position with JWT INSIDE. So far, it has been the best move o my career. The company also recognizes where it may be weak in offerings and is activity working directly with their staff to correct these issues through an "Employee Pulse Check" and a group of both non-leadership and leadership team members to get things going.
Cons
The only thing that I have to mention in this section is that JWT INSIDE is a 4th tier in the company structure. JWT INSIDE / JWT / WPP NA / WPP. What this means is that an individual who is a performer and a diligent worker may not get a promotion/raise if other companies in any of the WPP Group isn't hitting their growth numbers.
In short, you may not be rewarded for your hard work if another company inside of JWT/WPP didn't hit their growth numbers. There has to be a solution for this to retain top-level talent. It's disheartening to hear that someone who works really hard, may not be rewarded because someone else in another company, in another office didn't do their part. It can kill motivation in the right person.
Advice to Management

I have been working at JWT INSIDE full-time
Pros
1- Easily accessible Manhattan location near Grand Central
2- Clean office with fridge, coffee machine
Cons
1- ZERO culture/ Nonexistent team spirit
2- Chronically understaffed
3- Female staff occasionally cry openly from stress (I am not kidding.)
4- Not even a single measly perk like pizza days or team nights out
5- Clientele is overwhelmingly brick and mortar based, old fashioned
Advice to Management
A large handful of current employees are aggressively looking for new jobs. That should say enough.

Pros
- Some great people who are smart and passionate about their work (but overworked).
- (not really a pro) A part of a nice office (but has a "step child" feeling not completely inclusive of JWT culture. Not many there know what JWTInside does so you feel like a stranger in your home)
Cons
- This is not an agency that feels rewarding or remotely fun. Won't be winning a "best place to work" award anytime soon. Even with the few smart, passionate people it lacks energy and life. Unfortunately you only get a sense of that when you are there. The end of the day you want to run home.
- There is no clear agency vision or direction. That effects everyone. People are chasing their tails, putting out fires, running like chickens with their heads cut off for naught.
- The creative output in some areas is not clear. Some smoke and mirrors in what they are providing clients and it is painfully obvious.
- New Business is rogue in what they are selling and disconnected from the agency. That is why SOW are messy and people are overworked.
- Additionally and most importantly, bad behavior, hostile and disrespectful environments are tolerated by upper management. That is dangerous and a thriving corporate culture will never exist in the current toxic environment.
- A few are hiding behind made up titles and roles which is baffling.
- Some are collaborative and want the agency to win. But they are outweighed by a toxic, backstabbing few and it hurts them all.
- Non existent HR that does not respond to any requests (Irony that they are in the talent acquisition/retention internal communication space).
- On boarding is not clear on agency offerings - you have to figure it out on your own.
- Feels very old school and a relic of the past in many places
- Would not recommend anyone I know to work at this agency.
Advice to Management
Don't just listen to a few dinosaurs who can't work anywhere else but JWTInside. Truly want to define who you are, what you want to be as an agency and do it. Don't stay silo'ed from JWT and keep your ambiguous and random vision in new business prospecting. Foster a true collaborative culture not one comprised of bullies and a few holding onto to their role for dear life. Obviously if they are self preserving their roles, they will inhibit true change out of fear. Nurture your talent and allow people to fail and grow. Or at the very least be consistent in how you treat people and be fair/just.
Pros
Great place to learn. Big company so a lot of major clients. When you finished at work your work was finished.
Cons
Not a lot of room for growth.
Advice to Management
Provide more growth opportunities. That would be my main source of advice for management. There was not a lot of room to grow at all.

Pros
It is a great group of people to work with. everyone really cares and help out wherever and whenever they can. There is also lots of vacation time, ability to work from home after a year, and a good insurance plan.
Cons
Promotions come but usually without pay. Money is the main issue working here. There are no bonuses or raises which makes it difficult to stay positive and motivated. I would have given 5 stars if this was not an issue.
Advice to Management
Figure out how to pay everyone a competitive wage. You have a good team, they deserve it.

I worked at JWT INSIDE full-time
Pros
JWT Inside was innovative, had great client list, gave excellent benefits, had wonderful employees to work alongside, and forward-thinking creative work.
Cons
Not much room for growth in the office I was in after restructuring of the company left me working remotely with a hub office.
Advice to Management
Listen to the lower level employees more and to bridge the relationships between them and upper management better. It would have nice to know my opinion would have been heard.

I have been working at JWT INSIDE full-time (More than 8 years)
Pros
The Creative and Technology leads demonstrate an extremely high level of commitment to helping the agency pitch new business (and retain existing business). The senior Account team members are well-seasoned, and the junior Account team members are starting to receive better training/mentoring. Although the office culture varies from Santa Monica to Atlanta to D.C. to New York, most people seem to genuinely get along, and the drama factor is pretty low.
Cons
The process for securing new business and staffing (and managing) large projects is a work-in-progress.

Pros
Very nice people, very welcoming. Accepts all ideas and thoughts. Gives you opportunity to work as hard as you like. You can get what you want out of it.
Cons
Salaries suck unless you've been there forever. Sometimes you have to carry others who just want to leave at 5pm. Tough to get others interested in creating new things and doing things different.
Advice to Management
Incentivize people with more than just nice recognition. While that is important, cash or stock speaks louder than words. A smile only goes so far when you're trying to advance your career.
Pros
There are opportunities to grow if you work for it
Cons
Typical agency cons - lots of work and few resources, pay is low compared to other industries
