I worked at Jack in the Box full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent wage for a fast food job, if you get one

    Cons

No way to contact corporate as an employee, no way to report illegal activity done by store manager, have to be aggressive (in vain, because it does not happen anyways) to get paid and make sure the store manager does their job. This isn't even the start.

    Advice to Management

You need to have better checks and balances on all your employees, INCLUDING store managers. Make sure they do their jobs to put people into the system immediately and that these store managers cannot alter an employee's worked hours so that they can get a bigger bonus. Make sure they follow basic labor laws regarding overtime and that their employees get paid for it, and that breaks are given. Also, make sure that an employee, who is not bound by contract, cannot be fired for refusing to stay to cover someone else's shift. I worked for an 18.75 hour shift with no break, no lunch break, and was forced to stay because someone else didn't show up for their morning shift and the store manager ignored phone calls to do his job to take over. I regularly worked over eight and a half hours every night, sometimes even reaching 13 hours, for 5 to 7 days a week and never saw a dime of overtime. I never saw most of my wages actually, because, when I was in the system, they kept being changed so that I only got paid maximum $320 a week. I am still owed for two months of work that I will more than likely never, ever see. Do not work for this company if you value yourself.

Due to Christian values, I forgive, though I am still upset. But I know that this company and all those who do illegal works will see due payment for their mistreatment. If not by the government, then by God.

I worked at Jack in the Box part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Some free food
    Easy to get a job
My boss did not care if my coworkers were high
You don't need a clean record

    Cons

My manager disregarded the hours I was available and would call me at 11pm to ask me to work at 6 am the next morning and wouldnt take no for an answer. I was also a minor when I was working there and he had me working 12 hours shifts. There was one night after a football game when I was working the drive thru and the front register for 12+ customers and the kitchen staff was just kind of watching me flounder. We also got frequent complaints from customers that our manager and team leader were rude.

    Advice to Management

    Just close the woodinville location.
