I have been working at Jack in the Box (More than a year)

    Pros

Free food if you are in management.

    Cons

I can't run breaks on any shifts in my store because my floor is so short staffed it's ridiculous. No holiday pay event though we are forced to work all holidays. The management we have in the company that runs my store feels it's appropriate to corner and accuse their employees of things that had nothing to do with them. I wanted to move up in the company and now I just want to run away.

    Advice to Management

Recognize who your strong employees are and move them up. Use your training program so you have a stable floor and your tls don't have to run 3-4 positions every shift. It runs us down fast

    Advice to Management

Grow up and learn to lead your team better it's all about presentation and sanitation but some follow the rules

I have been working at Jack in the Box (More than a year)

    Pros

You need hours? They'll give them to you. You want a job without an interview come work here. Of all my past jobs easiest to get by far

    Cons

Please take your time to read this.
-Favoritism is big here. Kiss up and you'll be the favorite.
-No interview needed. A ex con could easily get this job.
-If we are short on change we have to short change people or rely on getting change from a bank, PL$, etc.
-Long hours, no break. I once had a 12 hour shift and was only able to eat for no more than 5 minutes, no one to replace you while you eat. Eat work, eat, work.
-I've been working here for a year now and asked so many times for a raise but manager keeps postponing it, blaming it on the boss.
    -Horrible worker to manager communication.
-Work as you learn, no video training like others places.
-You drop food, no one saw you, it's good.
-You're a shift lead, you handle money while making food. Did we drop a nugget out the package? She'll still touch it.
-If you can't make it to a team meeting for new products and changes, oh well, ask someone.
-Manager never clocks in or out. Enters late, leaves early, get his "50 hours" on his paycheck.
-Manager hired shift lead because he was his friend, worst ever.

Overall this is by far the worst place I've ever been at

    Advice to Management

Better communication, advise and encourage breaks, better pay, more cleanliness, have a safe with a set amount of money so money isnt an issue.

    - Employees calling in leaves you with insufficient help
    - Upper management can be harsh
    - Rude customers
    - Machines can break down and take a long time to be fixed

    Advice to Management

Work on training and building relationships with entire team.
Don't focus too much on numbers, but more on service.
