I worked at Jackson Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Voted the greatest place to work in GA 9 times. They care about the employees.

    Cons

There is nothing I found that needed improvement.

I have been working at Jackson Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture their is pretty good but keep in mind you work there to get a pay check. They do a lot in the community.

    Cons

Negotiate a sales territory up front or don't take the job. You are wasting your life if you go into this company as a "search" consultant. All you do as a search consultant is find business and pass it to other people. You'll work 10 hours a day passing business to lazy people who leave early everyday. You will get paid very little and you get hardly any time off. Then there will always be some reason for you not to get a territory. Or they will start you off with some crap states and you'll be 18 months in making 45k a year. Just don't take the search sales role.

    Advice to Management

Start telling the truth during the interview process

I have been working at Jackson Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy working for Jackson Healthcare because I am empowered to do my job with a great deal of autonomy.

    Cons

Trying to manage the efforts and interests of the individual companies is challenging because they can be very different. While servicing the companies, we are expected to appease all of the companies. Since their needs and interests are different, this is hard to do. I would like to see more opportunities to work remotely since all of my work is handled electronically. Management is old school and wants to see your "face in the place".

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! It is clear that this company is concerned about its people and for the first time in my career, I feel like I belong. The culture is great! There should be more opportunities to work remotely.

I have been working at Jackson Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People first culture, family owned by good people, large organization support with more boutique go to marker strategy becasue 15(ish) companies under the umbrella operate independently, fair compensation, superior benefit program. great facilities, and values/culture

    Cons

Because the individual companies operate independently, there isn't much cross-org collaboration which is a big missed opportunity.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and innovate more ways for your companies to work together

I have been working at Jackson Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Several years listed as Atlanta's #1 place to work.

    Cons

Commission structure should be higher. Salaries should be higher.

    Advice to Management

Less money doesn't act as a motivator for more sales. I.e. Commissions for all existing/retained business should be 10%.

I worked at Jackson Healthcare (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice building, fitness center (but it's not free), cafe is good but the menu doesn't vary much

    Cons

Backstabbing management- they have fired good people for no reason. They pressure employees to respond positively to surveys so they can look good. Little recognition of the individual accomplishments of employees. Support people are subjected to seeing the rewards the sales people get without any chance of being able to get the same thing - posters about trips, etc..

It use to be a caring environment but now it's all about money and appearances. Employees who work in support roles are often ignored because they aren't direct money makers.

    Advice to Management

Remember the troops in the trenches. Success would be impossible without them.

    Pros

I learned a lot about credentialing and licensing providers. The building is really nice. They pay well enough.

    Cons

Negativity in the office environment/corporate culture. Company has a bad reputation amongst other companies and hospitals.
