I worked at Jamba Juice part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to meet a lot of cool people.

    Cons

With how loud the blenders are, don't expect you be able to hear anything after a month of working here.

    Advice to Management

don't be surprised if people don't show back up for work when you refuse to give hard working people the hours they need for classes.

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I thought Jamba was about doing the right thing but have been proven wrong.

    Cons

Jamba Juice is all about making money and cutting expenses. As a result us front line workers are being nickeled and dimed and our hours cut left and right.

I can't believe the CEO makes $1M + per year and we get $8/hour with tight shifts...

    Advice to Management

Don't be so greedy, listen to what employees are saying and change your tune...

I worked at Jamba Juice full-time

    Pros

    fun brand and nice location

    Cons

Not an upfront company. The most micromanagement that I have ever seen from a boss. The company is so top heavy and doesn't allow much room for growth. Constantly felt unappreciated and bossed around instead of feeling like I was growing in my career.

    Advice to Management

Have a more positive attitude amongst managers, with less negativity and gossiping. Also, grow and make your employees better instead of micromanaging and just handing them tasks- anyone can do that.

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time

    Pros

    - People perceive the brand as fun
    -Has a "Healthy Living" goal

    Cons

    -Department Heads Gossip
    -Political
-Understaffed and high turn-over makes it hard to get things done
    -No clear direction

    Advice to Management

There is high turn-over due to the cliquey atmosphere. Spend less time gossiping and more time communicating to staff

I worked at Jamba Juice full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Suitable for Entry-Level
    -"Flexible" hours (see cons)
-I truly do value the work ethic food service jobs can instill in people. You learn the value of patience and fastidiousness, and how to do handle food safely.
-A good team can almost make up for the cons. The job attracts all types of people from all walks of life, and I can confidently say I've made friendships here that will outlast even some of my ones from childhood and school.
-The products are delicious, and food safety controls were top notch at my store at least. It's a shame they're all so ridiculously overpriced.

    Cons

-Corporate policies that treat low level employees as easily replaceable expenses and not valuable assets to the company, despite hitting employees over the head with how much the company cares (which made it all the more insulting).
-No respect for personal lives and schedules, even if employed elsewhere as well. This extends to managers cutting hours, which is especially harmful to part-timers who rely on the income from their scheduled hours. THIS is what I meant by flexible: flexible to the needs of the corporate bottom line, not your personal lives or really your economic well-being.
-This is less for this specific company and more for service jobs in general, particularly food service. Some customers will not see you as a person. You will be denigrated, disrespected, and even physically accosted (I've had smoothies and fresh citrus juices chucked at me more times than I'm willing to admit). And your only recourse is to smile and take it or react and lose your source of income.

    Advice to Management

-A question, really: the corporation makes about $200 million annually. Where do you get off paying employees insultingly low wages in one of the most expensive cities in the world to live in?

    Pros

    Fun environment, Non-professional requirements
Flexible scheduling once you get the job
Very easy during mornings and winter weather.
    %50 discount card.

    Cons

To much work for such little pay; Cleaning, serving, concocting, stocking.
Managers usually sit in the back while team members do all the work.
    Company cut positions and stingy.

    Advice to Management

Pay team members more, cut red tape bureaucracies, empower employees, don't outsource teammembers to JambaGo vending machines

    Advice to Management
