I worked at Jamba Juice part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Laid back
    Generally good people
    Flexible hours
Good college / high school job
    Half-off of store items
You can drink what's left of a smoothie if you make it too large

    Cons

Bad pay, PB Swann's franchise has a bad reputation for this. Managers make 0.50 more than starting team members.
Hiring process is too laid back. Sometimes we get employees who should have never been hired.
Some days (with hot weather) can be hectic

    Advice to Management

Advice to store managers: please check applicant's public social media accounts before inviting them to interview. Quick and easy way to filter out very negative people who have bad habits.

Advice to PB Swann & District Managers: please pay managers better. I have seen many good managers leave because other places offered better - and these people cannot be easily replaced. What we're doing is essentially training people to have basic managerial skills, and then losing them immediately after. This is like other companies not having to invest the time in training their managers because we'll do it for them! If I were, say, Starbucks or some other company, Jamba would be my #1 choice for poaching managers since I wouldn't need to invest any time and money in actually training my own team members as managers.

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Excellent building blocks for preparing new employees for the work force in greater strides down the line.
    - Provides well-rounded opportunities to gain customer service experience.
    - You'll frequently find "regulars", customers who find one store they like and stick to it; the connections you can make with these customers are very valuable and make for a satisfying experience.

    Cons

    - Too often, in too many stores, very little training is provided. Learning is often a "trial by fire", with minimal time taken to ensure an employee's smooth transition into the work place.
    - The effort put forth for employees is minimalistic in general. Understaffing is a problem, with too few employees scheduled to cover peak shifts. This saves on labor for the company, but is a severe detriment not only to the experience of the employees on such hard shifts, but to the experience of the customers as well. Customer service suffers when a store is understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Hire quick! Hire smart! Give your employees the tools they need to stick with and dedicate themselves to your store. Cultivating an encouraging environment with a well-staffed crew will boost morale and enhance the experience of customers as well.

  9. "Jamba Juice Team Member"

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time

    Pros

Working at Jamba Juice has been great because it teaches you how to work under a lot of pressure and get things done efficiently.

    Cons

Cons of working at Jamba Juice: dealing with customers who are very picky or get upset easily, working with people who don't put in as much effort as you.

    Advice to Management

Jamba Juice needs to re-do the system in the registers more often - it is very unorganized and has a lot of extra things that don't need to be there

    Pros

-I was hired on the spot
    -Easy to learn
    -Simple recipes
    -Staff works well together

    Cons

    -High turnover rate
    -Not enough staff for summer
    -Lines out the door
-Constantly told to promote the rewards
-It was all about getting to a certain $$ in sales

    Advice to Management

Better training for crew, assign specific trainers to people instead of just letting them free.
