Pros
A lot of great, smart people work here. Awesome culture that lets you get your work done without stupid restrictions and rewards with a job well done. A lot of room for internal growth, very common for employees to find new opportunities to grow within and outside their current department. Sometimes people complain about pay (which I find to be competitive, especially for the area) but the whole compensations package with benefits is very good.
Cons
The deep commitement to customers can sometimes make employees need to stay late. Its never fun to do but it needs to get done and the rewards are seen in customer retention. Some growing pains as the company transistions from a small startup to a larger, more corporate company.

Pros
The culture is the one of best I've ever experienced Management and leadership cares for you and actually listens to what you say The growth and opportunities are endless Overall they just take great care of you as an individual
Cons
The pay - there are a lot more jobs out there that pay more. But at the end of the day, it checks all of the boxes for me so pay isn't that important.
Thanks for leaving a review! While we do regularly review our compensation package, Jamf does take a ‘whole employee experience’ view of compensation and strives to make investments not only in cash and salary related items, but also other services to ensure the wellbeing (financial, physical, and emotional) of our teams.

Best place to work in Minneapolis and/or Eau Claire!
Oct 16, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Minneapolis, MNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working with smart, dedicated, friendly people. Great environment- culture and physical space is comfortable and progressive. Cutting edge technology and ever-changing landscape of the businesses we support is interesting and challenging. Growing so fast, there is a ton of opportunity for growth within roles, and in new positions, that we don't even know we need yet- you can create your own career path here, and if you are really good at what you were hired to do, you will have opportunity for growth at JAMF Software.
Cons
If you are the smartest person where you work now, you will just be average at JAMF Software. If you like punching a clock, and doing the same thing every day, you won't like working here. If you don't like change, you won't like it here. If you think a great job is one that's easy, you won't like it here. If you expect someone else to clean up after you, please go work somewhere else. No one here is above doing their own dishes, or cleaning up their stuff- senior management included. People are people here- not titles.

They really care about their employees
Jul 12, 2021 - Software Engineer in Eau Claire, WIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Jamf makes a point to share its wealth with its employees. They care most about their employees’ personal health and are always striving to help them self-improve. Customers are just as important as employees and it’s a culture of hospitality.
Cons
Restructuring is a lot more common as the company grows and it can get confusing. Sometimes you can get lost in the mix with management.

Thank you for your feedback. Our founders recognized the long-term positive impact to build an organization deeply committed to not only bettering the lives of our customers, but our employees and those in the greater community as well. This statement holds true today. Jamf is committed to our values being at the core of our culture and continues to guide our decisions every day. Jamf has experienced high periods of growth in recent years and we are aware this can lead to some growing pains. Good employment, but slowly declining
Jan 19, 2016 - Senior Technical Account ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Currently the pay is competitive (for the area, not the field) and the benefits are great. Fellow employees are easy to get along with and can be great friends, even outside of work. Fringe benefits like a take-home laptop, iPad, and iPhone in some departments are nice, but don't expect them to update the iPad they gave you 5 years ago with a new one. Reasonable consumption of alcohol is allowed, though not provided. Dogs are allowed in the office too, though aggressive behavior is not typically punished so caution is needed around some when bringing your own. Bragging to others and lying to yourself about how cool it is to work here. Most of the other Pros have quietly gone away during my employment.
Cons
The current plan is to significantly grow the customer base, without growing most other departments. Stress levels skyrocket during the incredibly busy Fall season, especially in the support department, and this can only possibly compound that issue. This corresponds to the dwindling opportunity for climbing the ladder, as with fewer positions being opened there will be less room to grow as an employee and as a company. Nepotism is something that gets brought up in private conversations often, there are continually more people with long-time friends in management that seem to have more 'opportunities' than those without. Sometimes this and other reasons are the creators of unannounced 'internal job postings' which are meant for that one person, but must be posted for legal reasons -- you won't get that promotion because the posting was a technicality. Culture is touted heavily in recruiting and initiation (the week where you're encouraged to get wasted with your fellow initiates on worknights and then wake up at 7 AM for more death by Powerpoint). Honestly, the culture can be broken down into a few things: Booze, dogs, and Nerf, none of which are unique to this place. The real culture is the people, you can get the same amount of it working at a gas station. The week of 'culture training' where you're told how wonderful an opportunity you have been given by a list of long-term senior employees, who live in a completely different world than you'll see, is full of unfortunately meaningless information that you'll never draw on again, except perhaps JAMF's history or funny anecdotes about people you'll never meet. This week could easily be spent training a group that is otherwise completely inexperienced in the product that they are about to make their full time profession. While the pay is decent from an outside perspective, you'll quickly realize how little it actually is for the amount of work that you do.
