I worked at Janssen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good benefits, company store, credo

    Cons

Unless you are picked for a promotion don't expect it to happen.

    Advice to Management

Look at your directors. They are ruining the lifeblood of your company; your employees! In a scientific position you should be able to think and give feedback. At Janssen this is considered that you're not a team player. Salaries here are lower than most of industry.

    Pros

Great opportunity to move around in Johnson and Johnson if you want to.

    Cons

Micro managed all around! Treated like a child at meetings and not very helpful when it comes to growing with the company.

    Pros

The salary was reasonable and I liked that I could work from home.

    Cons

No training...I was a contractor and the group I went into didn't share or show how to do the job. They are insecure if you have more experience than they do!

    Advice to Management

Develop process documents and listen to your employees regardless if they are permanent or contract.

    Pros

    Global company with deep pockets

    Cons

Still focused on external communication of asset values and internal communication to improve efficiency as opposed to developing innovation.

    Advice to Management

Our issue isn't communication. Its real innovators who deliver new business' not new process'

I worked at Janssen as a contractor

    Pros

Immediate supervisors are very helpful and understanding.

    Cons

Contract workers are underpaid, unappreciated, and overlooked. Slim chance being hired as permanent employee unless you personally know someone in upper-management. Contractors complete the two year contract, are laid off and then asked to come back for two more years as a contracted employee. Some have done this for many years hoping to be become permanent. There is also a racial divide that needs to be addressed.

The use of iPads in the field to track employees.
