I have been working at Janssen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Janssen offers decent salary and benefits, makes an effort to provide ethical behavior in their drug development.

    Cons

Fails to reward existing employees. Many employees leave elsewhere because they don't feel valued and it ends up costing a lot of money and resources to replace them, disrupts and delays the work flow and puts burden on other employees.

    Advice to Management

Make an effort to reward and promote employees . Salary is not jut the only important component, feeling appreciated for hard work is important.

I have been working at Janssen full-time

    Pros

16 weeks for maternity leave, 8 weeks for paternity leave. Up to 40 hours for family work time (take your kid to doctors etc) plus 40 hours of sick leave.

    Cons

Headcount is always the barrier for anyone to get promoted. Really need to distinguish yourself among the herd to get noticed

    I worked at Janssen full-time

    Pros

Compensation, benefits, product portfolio and flexibility

    Cons

Culture, management biased, diversity lacking (white females are not the only diverse candidates for employment)

    Advice to Management

stop pretending to embrace diversity. you only want diversity in thought, not look especially in the Texas market

I worked at Janssen as an intern

    Pros

Smart colleagues, interesting work, reasonable schedule

    Cons

There is such a thing as too much collaboration. Life at Janssen revolves around meetings, many of which are at best tangentially relevant to a good number of those in attendance. Consensus is gold, or so it would seem given the vast resources sacrificed in its pursuit. If everyone's calendar is booked for 6-9 hours a day for meetings, well, it's fair to question when exactly work is produced. My take? Very, very slowly.

    Advice to Management

Alignment is a good thing, but not at any cost. As for the internship, you'll learn a lot and have a good time.

    Pros

Pay is good and so are the benefits. They do Invest in very good training and development for their employees and the products are high quality

    Cons

The culture is very cutthroat and there is rapant nepotism throughout.

    Advice to Management

Continue to elicit anonymous feedback from the employees and act on it.
