I worked at Janssen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They value a respectful environment, diversity inclusion and bias-free decisions. Compensation package is good and, although more aligned to Consumer goods market thant to Pharma, this is solved with a lot of onsite convenience benefits.

    Cons

Local business lack strategic alignment with Global business. Local business leadership is too risk averse and when trying to innovate, the walk more in the direction of reinventing the wheel than searching for some disruptive solution.

    Advice to Management

Try a bimodal approach, pushing the business to be innovative not only on medicine level. While the business requires a conservative approach due to compliance reasons, it is always good to keep an eye on how to disruptively (and legally) solve a business challenge with a never taken approach.

I worked at Janssen full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good manager, nice colleagues, great benefits, nice equipment, not really anything else to add to this section. Just taking up room

    Cons

Big brother, too many surveys, typical pharma expectations, lots of meetings, not much more to add here either but I have to

I have been working at Janssen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The flexibility of working from home can't be beat. The managers are very flexible with your time and schedule, they don't care what you do so long as you get all your work done. I really like that.

    Cons

The tough part is the lack of upward movement and the lack of good upper management. The managers constantly have new and big ideas that require us to learn new things that complicate matters and cause delays. It's rare when they actually have an effective idea and implement it well. Money is tough too, you don make much and you won't make much until you get to manager level.

I have been working at Janssen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great culture, generally good, CEO supports led and work balance. Good senior management. Credo. Credo. Credo. Credo. Credo credo. Overall friendly environment. People focused on work and projects. Good pipelines in the past several years thanks to good BD team.

    Cons

Some manager is very ego oriented and not ethical. Some manager is very unfair, would smile at you but stub you in the back. Be aware and stay away from the manager like that.

    Advice to Management

    No ego, needs transparency

I have been working at Janssen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and pay is probably par with the rest of the market. Great products and to their credit, they try to find new inroads to the market.

    Cons

Upper management completely disconnected from what is happening within healthcare. Continue to work variations of the same "reach and frequency" theme and continue to flood the market with contract reps. Although trying to adapt, change comes way to slow and the increasingly shrinking market is leaving Janssen out of the equation.

    Advice to Management

Reach and Freq is dead. Stop hiring contract reps as overlays. Think about novel ways to do business.

I have been working at Janssen (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable company with supposed good ethics and a credo they live by.

    Cons

Will bypass better qualified individuals for promotion in favor of minorities or to fill a diversity need. Blatant reverse discrimination recently.

    Advice to Management

Stick to the credo! Hire the individuals with the beast experience and stop trying to fill quotas!
