    I worked at Jason's Deli part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -If you want a day off, you can usually get it. No questions asked.
    -You can change your availability without problems.
    -Managers are usually laid back
    -Some really nice coworkers

    Cons

    -Can only use 10% discount at the place you work at
    -Managers are sometimes too laid back and will smoke during a busy time.
    -Most employees get a day of training before being thrown into work
    -You are reminded constantly that you are disposable

    Advice to Management

    Find store managers that are able to think clearly. I was constantly getting in trouble with ours because he expected me to complete hundreds of task while still running a busy register, keeping the restaurant clean and busing tables. What frustrated me the most was that there were people who had jobs to keep the place clean while I was on register, but they would goof off and talk to other lazy employees.

    I worked at Jason's Deli full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Employees are usually great to be around, always hard working especially when treated with respect. It was a much more fun environment to be in when I first started in '05.

    Cons

    Employees and store managers are underpaid and greatly under-appreciated. It became more about saving the owner and his dad money (Franchise owned), cutting hours, and having more of a sweat factory environment. No joy in the job. If we didn't like it, we were told to find another job. No mutual respect.

    Advice to Management

    Advice would be pointless. Just find a different job. It will probably be the same upper management in 10 years anyway.
