I have been working at Jawbone full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Well designed products Bright engineers with lots of innovation Great benefits and balanced work environment

    Cons

Great products, but company should find ways to improve marketing.

    Advice to Management

Hire more engineers and focus on releasing products earlier. Don't give up your audio products. They also hold great promise.

    I worked at Jawbone

    Pros

The worker bees are some of the most talented people you'll ever meet. A great set of thinkers, brain-stormers, and problem solvers. You'll learn a lot from each other. Great work-life balance! Benefits are good. 401k is ok.

    Cons

The executive staff is gonna be the demise of this company. They do not agree with each other and are incapable of making a decision. As a result, products/projects never get to completion, quality of the products is poor, they lose market share to competitors.

    Advice to Management

EXECUTIVE STAFF NEEDS TO GO!!! Hosain should be the first! They waste time and precious resources. They do not know how to utilize the amazing team they have working for them. They've already lost a lot of great people and are losing more as time passes.

    I worked at Jawbone full-time

    Pros

Free food. Free basketball and other events tickets (if you win lottery) in Oracle Arena. Good work life balance

    Cons

Company is directionless about where to go. Some Seniors managers are very rude and unprofessional. They assumes that they own Jawbone and they owns employee worrking for them. Jawbone raised over 800 millions, almost 10 times more than fitbit, but still no where close to fitbit. Employees advises, ideas are not listened or respected. Rather scolded that whatever is there is good. That's is the prime reason of no...

I have been working at Jawbone for more than a year

    Pros

    * Building hardware and software experiences: Unique opportunity to work with hardware / firmware / software / platform engineers to push bounders on every end of the stack. * Constantly redefining the business (pro): Jawbone has the unique past of constantly pushing into new businesses. On the pro side, the company takes big swings to push the future. * Smart people: The company has many smart people that you enjoy...

    Cons

    * Long decision times: In certain instances it has taken senior management too long to make a decision, leaving people to infer one. It's nice when the working team gets it right, sucks when we get it wrong. This has improved with Sameer's recent arrival but this change is still new so tbd. * Constantly redefining the business (con): Jawbone has the unique past of constantly pushing into new businesses. On the con...
