I have been working at Jeanes Hospital part-time

    Pros

Jeanes hospital is a small hospital and the people there are considerably nice. They are good for hiring from within. A lot of the nurses that work there started there as a CNA. It is also located in a nice area.

    Cons

Compared to other hospitals, the pay for CNA's is lousy. The pay at main temple is at least 5 dollars more. Although the size of the hospital contributes to the somewhat laid back environment, it also lowers the standards for meeting certain expectations. In exchange it makes for a stressful work environment due to the lack of accountability.

    Advice to Management

Rules are made for a reason working while under staffed or with the nursed who seem to have forgotten the values of quality patient care defeats the purpose of why we do what we do. But worst having a manager who doesn't hold staff accountable for short comings hurts more. It good to protect you staff but patients come first.

I have been working at Jeanes Hospital full-time

    Pros

Management on my unit is great. Most co workers are nice.

    Cons

Low paying compared to other hospitals in the area. Pretty much no break on a 12 hour over night shift. Treated like less due to job title

I have been working at Jeanes Hospital part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's your typical hospital. The pay is reasonable and your schedule varies on who your supervisor is. Overall a nice place.

    Cons

There is favoritism. You will find that just about anywhere you go but this is one thing that really bothers me.
