I have been working at Jeff Wyler Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You'll have a great selection of new and used cars. The company invests heavily in training and you'll have quarterly meetings to hear from corporate management. The opportunity to make money is there but you do have to put in the time to learn and work hard.

    Cons

Hours are long and you will work weekends. Its not an easy job so there is turnover. If you don't hustle, the hours won't be worth the pay. Some customers can be rude so you need a thick skin.

    Advice to Management

Just because someone can sell cars successfully doesn't mean they should manage people. You still have some old school managers who believe they walk on water and sales people are replaceable parts.

    Pros

Lots of traffic, but unless you sell 40 cars a month you will starve

    Cons

$100 minis, nearly impossible to make a living

    Advice to Management

Change the pay plan and keep quality Employees

    Pros

Overall they are a great auto group to work for - lots of support and resources for Sales Associates and Managers.

    Cons

There are a few people in the "inner circle" that determine if people are promoted more than their hard work or results.

    Pros

Very few pros of working here. Offer average health benefits. Paid time off after 1 year. Newer buildings/facility.

    Cons

Think of any negative thing about a job and this is what you have. VERY poor management that doesn't understand standard business concepts. Always understaffed leaving employees overworked and overwhelmed. No respect for employees by management. No opportunity for advancement. No employee recognition program at all.

    Advice to Management

Current management needs to simply be replaced and find a job doing something different. Try having a little more care and involvement with your staff. They are humans too.

I worked at Jeff Wyler Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very large selection of vehicles to sell

    Cons

Management is extremely difficult to deal with. They routinely yell and scream at the sales staff whenever goals are not met. This must run up the ladder with this company since you will often hear managers getting yelled at by upper management as well.
    Hours are grueling as well.

Also Very large packs on vehicles, and a small commission on each sale, I once sold a car at a $5000 profit to the dealership and was only paid about $400 in commissions. You will fare much better at other dealerships where they pay better and management treats their employees decently.

    Advice to Management

Stop yelling at your employees! This is demeaning and unprofessional. Raising your voice to an employee should be an absolute last resort to correct behavior and not a daily motivation tool.

I have been working at Jeff Wyler Automotive full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Got to sell Buicks and Brand New GMC Trucks in addition to driving them

    Cons

Management stinks, no communication within the dealership, just assume you know what's going on, making goals very hard to reach, the fact that you are charge a percentage of your commission if a used car is sold and there were repairs done to make it road worthy. No one in management follows thru with what they promise to customers and puts it on salesperson's shoulder. I can go on!!!

    Advice to Management

MAYBE MORE MEETINGS TO KEEP PEOPLE IN THE LOOP, a communication board instead of, ". OH, you didn't know, yeah, they said you can't do that anymore"

    Pros

Great opportunity to make good money. Some guys made 6 figures easy. Be aggressive and you'll be rewarded.

    Cons

cutthroat industry, pressure on you and on customers from management. Long hours, no Saturday's off, management not the best at relating to their employees, which probably has something to do with high turnover rate.
