    Pros

The Kentucky Community & Technical College is very secure at this time. Jefferson is a part of that system.

    Cons

The Kentucky Community & Technical College System is reviewing the policy on tenure with thoughts of doing away with tenure.

    Advice to Management

    Be more responsive.

I worked at Jefferson Community College - Kentucky full-time

    Pros

Student driven, flexible schedule decent benefits

    Cons

Administration is top heavy and there is a lot of favoritism. My Dean was very vindictive and petty but because of who or what she knows about someone she remains there and is making people miserable.

    Advice to Management

Good morale Keeps a ship in tip top condition. Pay attention to your administrator evaluations.

  3. "Good place to work but the salary is null - for an education institution they will not pay you for your advance degrees"

    Pros

I find most Division Chairs to be flexible of work life balance and just some good people to work with.

    Cons

Compensation is way below average; and, in 2011 received a 3% recurring raise - good, but still below local average.

    Advice to Management

Management should offer better salaries to staff. Find grants to increase good employees pay in order to retain talented employees.

    Pros

I enjoyed working with my team and other members of the campus community. The work schedule was great unless it was during peak advising times. They have great benefits and time off is awesome.

    Cons

They haven't had raises in a few years. Registration could be better for the students.
