I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Training you, you learn by getting around and learning on your own some doctors will have patience and teach you doctors that are old don’t have any type of patience they think they are gods

    Cons

Low pay you don’t get paid for the amount of work you do if nobody gets assigned to do things then most likely take advantage of you

    Advice to Management

Care for your workers and there pay and evaluate your doctors some are very rude and think they are some type of god and have to type of patience for newbies

I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They are willing to invest their time and train you , you can literally do whatever you want .

    Cons

So many bad things I would say about this company .Some of the cons would be lazy co-workers that didn’t want to do anything so basically I was working as if I was 2 DA’s , also when you first start off the doctors are rude and get frustrated because you don’t know how they work and they’re having a hard time getting used to you. Another thing would be management and front staff . While the DA’s were in the back the manager and front staff would just be goofing off and playing around so unprofessional . This company does not care about its employees or giving them a raise (DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE !!) They let everyone know we were getting a raise and everyone got 30 cents . Would not recommend this company to anyone !

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees , that’s why y’all lose so many

I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They will hire anyone with no experience and will teach you everything you need to know

    Cons

They don't appreciate their employees and I once heard the regional manager say we were "disposable" I honestly would only recommend this jobs to get experience and leave as soon as you get a better job opportunity. They also make you work 6 days out of the week in December and work 12 hours shift and if you're lucky you will get a break

I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I'm sorry but I can't think of any positives.

    Cons

I only worked there for 1 week and hated it. I had to get out. Rather not disclose details out of respect for those who have that job and need it rather than want it, or who don't even know that what they're doing is wrong.

    Advice to Management

    Hopeless.

I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They'll hire newbies. Inexperienced RDAs. Will train you their way. It's a good door opener to get your foot in the door.

    Cons

Where do I start? The whole 8 months I was there I never seen or was presented with insurance options about healthcare or dental or vision! They're strict on calling in if your sick. Hours are RIDICULOUS. You have no life. I was only 22 working almost 12 hour shifts. My lunch breaks were 5, 10, 15 minutes long.I never had a lunch where I could catch my breath. I never saw the dentists eat. It was literally Root Canal after Root Canal. And on top of scheduled treatment. Dentist would jump from room to room. Go numb here, do cleaning there, open fillings here, start Root Canal there, go back to finish the fillings, do an exam. My god! It is a horror! Definitely not worth it. They don't appreciate you and your time there. They treat you like robots and expect you to be sane. Oh and around Christmas. December month. They got you working from 8am-9pm due to cleaning and late treatment...

    Advice to Management

Long hours of working should give employers 1 hour lunch. Health insurance should be applied to all employers. Don't wait for them to ask. Hours should change for the sake and life of those who do you a favor.

I worked at Jefferson Dental Clinics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Learn as you go. Anyone can get hired, no RDA required. If you can make it HERE, you can make it ANYWHERE. Good place to get experience.

    Cons

Staff is always new. The clinic coordinator is probably the one who has been there the longest and the rest of the RDA's either are externs or brand new (with no knowledge of dentistry). Dentists are overworked and most of them are definitely not ready for a busy environment. All based on production, keeping multiple treatments at once causing patients long wait times. Management set unrealistic goals. Being shot handed is not an excuse (which most clinics are). EVERY RDA has plans to work elsewhere. They expect private office attitudes and work ethic but pay close to minimum wage and stall on raises.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee needs and concerns. Keep a positive work environment instead of focusing on the bad during morning huddles.
