    Pros

Pretty much you have to sell a program to make your paychecks halfway decent. Dome centers are open on holidays and you need to make quota.

    Cons

My pros and cons about the company ate pretty much the same thing. Long hours, making alot of phone calls

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with the public. Helping people to lose weight and feel good about themselves no matter how they did that week.

    Cons

Corporate turning everything into a metric. Feeling stressed if your team wasn't meeting it. Turning people into numbers instead of feelings. I actually gained weight due to the stress!

    Advice to Management

Be more encouraging to your center directors. Offer more training. Especially when asked for help.

    Pros

You get to help people better them selves with the tools the provide you with. The concept of what they would like to do, is great. Your changing people lives.

    Cons

Dont switch a position within the company. I switch from Program Director to Consultant and my pay dropped $4.00 without me signing anything to confirm if I would accept the change of pay.

    Advice to Management

My advice to Management is to communication better with your employees by caring about their needs. They are the face of your company therefore they should be a priority as well as the client who come in to lose weight

I worked at Jenny Craig part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They truly cared about helping people hit their personal weight loss goals.
Sales training when first hired was good.
Enjoyed the one on one time with clients and being an encouragement to them.

    Cons

Making sales calls over and over a lot of times to the same clients.
Goals are set high, sometimes unrealistic for amount of hours worked.
Sometimes the focused only seemed to be on sales instead of helping someone.

    Advice to Management

Consider lowering program costs or run better sales so easier to sell the product. Make sales goals more realistic to hit and offer more coaching to associates.

I have been working at Jenny Craig part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love my job, I enjoy helping people meet their goals. The food is very good and the program works.

    Cons

My center has been short staffed for a long time, no help from upper management whatsoever. Unable to take breaks often!!!! Everyday we have higher goals to reach, more work and less help. Cleaning crew only goes 1X a week now, instead of 3. Company expects employees to do local marketing...with what time? Isn't that why they have a marketing department? Why do we have to do everything????

    Advice to Management

Wake up and do your job. Stop demanding so much with the inadequate number of staff in a busy center.

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved interacting with clients; seeing results (not frequently) and most of my co-workers were very hard workers. The pay was good at times but never consistent. The employee discount was generous!

    Cons

My compensation was based on sales so it was all about money and not so much about helping clients. The base pay is low because it's technically retail, so the company does not attract good quality employees. Training is good but it's not enough to produce quality service. Benefits could be better but this was four years ago, they may be better.

    Advice to Management

Compensation should not be based on sales; it creates a greedy environment and clients know it so they lose trust in the program. Management should create a safe atmosphere for employees to go to them with concern, questions or suggestions without retaliation from involved parties. Bonuses should be based on clients' successes.

    Pros

the nutrition and sales training was great background for the employees
    employee discount was wonderful

    Cons

all the company was worried about was how much food and yearly programs you sold. the customers don't understand how to stay heathy after they finish the program.the company had a poor support system for their clients when they were struggling to maintain their weight. it backfired on us-sales consultants and program directors. not great benefits and
    management couldn't control their employees.

    Advice to Management

manage your sales consultants properly and fairly
dont let one sales consultant steal all of the clients

Pay for mileage for my position

    Cons

Not enough pay for the work expectations.
