I worked at Jenny Craig full-time

    Pros

Far better environment than a typical retail job, clean facility.

    Cons

Manual labor required in stock room that can be physically taxing, pressure to deliver money constantly, unrealistic expectations from management.

    Advice to Management

Please be realistic and understand TV advertising is far more effective than making phone calls that go unanswered or hung up on. Do not berate employees, it does more harm than good and is not motivational.

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Discount on food. Helping people who are struggling with weight issues. Nice location. Their mission was great execution sucked. Benefits were decent and their 401k was pretty good when I was there

    Cons

Base salary was very low. They were very pushy about numbers and you were expected to use any free time you had calling old patients. Management was a mess and in the New York market there was no one if color who held a management position i.e. "Center Director"

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better. Stop micro managing and for peace sake pay your staff what they are worth!!!

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a many schedules you can "pick" from, so you are not stuck working a 9-5 if you don't want to be.

    Cons

Where do I start? You are micro-managed to the fullest extent. They will get you in the door by promising you a salary that some of their producers make. Rest-assured, they DO make that salary, but they neglect to tell you that their salary structure is different and grand-fathered in.

This is a terrible place to work. I am not surprised they are failing in sales.

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working directly with wonderful clients, great friendships made with other staff. Ongoing nutritional training and the personal benefits of helping others attain their goals helps maintain your own as well.

    Cons

Clients cancelling appointments which lowers your income, repetitive computer consultation system implemented. Base pay could be better.

    Advice to Management

Focus on keeping staff happy as well as clients as it is a direct emotional connection that helps fuel success at the company financially

I worked at Jenny Craig full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Loved most of my clients!!!
Great reward for helping others and made wonderful connections. Most times if you work well with your small team, then it's always a joy to come to work and see them.

    Cons

    Horrible management.
Constantly changing the environment between paper files and computer files.
Consultants come and go because they are under the impression that there isn't a lot of crap to handle.
For the pay which in San Antonio is 11.25 plus bonus, it wasn't worth all the work, and changes and everything.
They would pathetically tell us to triple crown every month knowing that it was impossible on slower months.
Management had made my team stay passed hours one time past closing because they were too lazy to help.
Overall, team members were awesome and upper management was terrible.

    Advice to Management

Have a center director willing to help. Switching center directors because they were doing too well at one place is the stupidest thing they could have done. If you want to incentivize, give me money, don't hand me a koozie like my last manager did. Also, quit changing between paper or computer files!!!
