    I have been working at Jersey Mike's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great franchise with a great back story. I got to meet the guy himself which was pretty cool. Over all its a pretty good place , you have the chance the to get up the latter.

    Cons

    I wish the managers would spend more time on their application process (this may vary on locations of course )

    Advice to Management

    Look more into the people you hire.

    Pros

    If you:

    Like working with perpetually angry girls whom yell at customers;

    Like being micromanaged over how to make a sandwich;

    Like being treated like you need constant guidance over really small, simple tasks;

    Like being paid less than a living wage, and spending more money than what you make daily on getting there and back to your residence;

    Like witnessing grown men not able to manage themselves within their "job title";

    Like being fired via text message

    ....this might be the job for you.

    Cons

    Everything.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees a living wage, and don't act like you're some CEO of some huge company and micromanage your hired help over how to make sandwiches as though it's the end of the world.

    I have been working at Jersey Mike's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    it's a fun and laid back environment filled with great people I consider friends as well as co-workers, with Tips added to your pay check you will be paid quite well if the location is doing well, so focusing on customer service is imperative but, speed is just as important as you cannot sacrifice the speed of the service for its quality, which depending on the person or attitude of the day can get quite difficult.

    Cons

    I believe it would depend on the location, my personal one is some times the checks are a little late (longest being 4 days) though this has changed recently, and first aid supplies not being replenished.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees with respect and you'll get a lot out of them.

    Pros

    You get to meet a variety of people, and learn to adapt to dealing with large amounts of customers on a daily basis as well as learning how to multitask efficiently.

    Cons

    When the store gets ridiculously busy and we happen to run out of bread is when people start to panic or worry. At first this Does prove to be a rather worrying nuisance but as you learn how to work the oven and use your time wisely this becomes less of a problem.

    Advice to Management

    They should increase the wages for the employees considering that some days I would feel like I didn't get paid enough to do all the work that was expected.

    I worked at Jersey Mike's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The pay is fair, there is also opportunity to get a pay increase as long as you show your value. Management is very good. Great work environment for a first part time job.

    Cons

    In low skill level jobs like these, there tend to be a fair amount of employees which can make getting a lot of hours difficult. However, management did very well to give me the hours I wanted and could work with.
