I have been working at JetBlue full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most people are friendly. Worst comes to worst, you don't like a colleague, you don't have to work with them again in a few days. Flexibility in scheduling is great.

    Cons

Commuting from any other city that isn't a base is stressful, especially during weather - cancelled flights, delayed, etc. will affect your dependability rating and sometimes result in call outs. They emphasize Caring as a core value however do not seem to take very good care of their employees during Irregular Operations. I personally have not had issues with it but I've been the lucky few.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. It should never seem like work to receive or ask for help. If it continues, I guarantee people will be anxious to sign union papers (if they aren't already anxious).

I have been working at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

In my opinion, the flight benefits are a definite perk as long as you have a boss who supports you using your vacation time and if you can find a good manager to work for, you can have a lot of autonomy in your work.

    Cons

Personally, I've consistently experienced discrimination that has not been addressed by HR and makes me want to leave. Compensation for my role is below industry norms.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flight benefits....umm...the fact that's the office is in the Long Island City.

    Cons

The company is alright but certain divisions are so people-favored, clique-up, petty and high school-ish in the way they operate. Myself, an intern, and another do nowhere near the same amount of work, but it looks like he’s favored among the women of the team. Even MY crewleader looks like she would have have him as a mentoree. Maybe because he’s a gossiping male with female tendencies? Who knows? Anyway, the recognition is low (unless you suck up to management), the amount of gossip that goes around is unfathomable, the managers really don’t care about the work you do because they never frequently check their emails to acknowledge. This department calls itself the “face of the company”? Must be a face post-car wreck. Basically, if you’re an intern, you’re a slave. You also have no privacy AT ALL. The few people I like here come up to my desk to have convos and i hear the breathing and feel eyes peering at you. Nosy idiots. Mid-year reviews are rude and pointless because they just highlight minor errors and make them larger than they are. And I won’t get started on the high turnover, high corporate politics and high percentage of underpaid employees. What a nightmare. Flight benefits are not worth the high school-based culture of this airline.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the corporate structure and match Crewleaders with interns, trainees and crewmembers that actually match. Stop with mid-year reviews because your evaluation doesn't necessarily dictate the work ethic people possess.

Just the brand all the lies.

    Cons

This company don't paid well enough.Grounds operations are just slaves with paid. They always talking about safety, but safety is for the aircraft. The GO are over work. I see some of my teammates being abused , making them work from one gate to another. Without any concerned of their safety.

    Advice to Management

You better get it together the Union is coming soon enough.

    Pros

Great work environment and very cooperative coworkers who are willing to help out in the time of need. Travel benefits are also great.

    Cons

Location Location Location, average commute time for an employee there is over 1hr each way. The reason for this is because LIC area is not affordable, and the salary does not reflect the location at all.

    Advice to Management

    re-evaluate the compensation structure.

I have been working at JetBlue part-time

    Pros

While at JBU for training they talk about their five values . Training at JBU is ok . You have to pass all your exams if not you're sent home . You're not guaranteed a job if your seasonal part time . Some people left their jobs not knowing this .

    Cons

Once assigned to your station those values disappear. A lot of favoritism. Some of the co workers don't want you there . A lot of trash talk of other airlines . A lot of sleeping on the job . On the job training is a joke . The liaisons don't properly train you . You need to catch on by observation. A lot improvement needed for on the job training. So if anyone in corporate see this please make some adjustments.
