    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flight benefits....umm...the fact that's the office is in the Long Island City.

    Cons

The company is alright but certain divisions are so people-favored, clique-up, petty and high school-ish in the way they operate. Myself, an intern, and another do nowhere near the same amount of work, but it looks like he’s favored among the women of the team. Even MY crewleader looks like she would have have him as a mentoree. Maybe because he’s a gossiping male with female tendencies? Who knows? Anyway, the recognition is low (unless you suck up to management), the amount of gossip that goes around is unfathomable, the managers really don’t care about the work you do because they never frequently check their emails to acknowledge. This department calls itself the “face of the company”? Must be a face post-car wreck. Basically, if you’re an intern, you’re a slave. You also have no privacy AT ALL. The few people I like here come up to my desk to have convos and i hear the breathing and feel eyes peering at you. Nosy idiots. Mid-year reviews are rude and pointless because they just highlight minor errors and make them larger than they are. And I won’t get started on the high turnover, high corporate politics and high percentage of underpaid employees. What a nightmare. Flight benefits are not worth the high school-based culture of this airline.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the corporate structure and match Crewleaders with interns, trainees and crewmembers that actually match. Stop with mid-year reviews because your evaluation doesn't necessarily dictate the work ethic people possess.

    I worked at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

Tries hard to make everyone - internally and externally - happy.
Very structured goal and KPI reporting.
    Flight benefits.

    Cons

    Too much red tape.
Corporate politics can get in the way, especially on the Commercial team.
    Health benefits are terrible.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to constantly reinvent the wheel all the time. Sometimes (not always) - just sometimes - the right answer is the traditional answer.

    Pros

Travel benefits, Flexible hours, work from home, work life balance . there is alot of ways to get involved at jetblue

    Cons

the biggest problem with this job is the low wage, it is nearly impossible to live off the hourly wage. You only get OT if it is a designated OT . even if you work more than 40 hours a week .

    Advice to Management

Pay full time employees more because it is impossible to live off the hourly wage. The full time employees have less oppurtunity to get OT when offered and when pick up regular hours it is still not enough to pay basic bills.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working at the airport and with airlines. I very much like jetblue as a company. The uniform is cute and I like being at the airport and assisting customers along the way to their flight and final destination. I meet so many interesting people.

    Cons

At first you get the worst schedules like 3;30am start time and Tuesday and Wednesday off. Training is in Orlando away from your family for 4 weeks.
