I worked at JetBlue full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

JetBlue is a culture farm -- they care about culture and it REALLY shows. The company does a great job of recruiting individuals with heart who can excel at bringing the company's mission and values to life. They offer comprehensive benefits and perks to take care of the employees.

    Cons

There is not much balance, and those who care -- care a lot. It's not just a job (and in a way it shouldn't be), but it's sometimes hard to leave the office in the office -- depending on your position -- and check out once you are at home. Mostly a difficult working situation for a single parent, but still difficult for families.

    Advice to Management

Please put the balance back into the work/life balance equation. Also, compensation could be increased to ensure people are paid fairly in high cost of living areas.

    I worked at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

Growing company so your seniority will steadily increase. Fun base cities. Beautiful training facility. Opportunity to grow and move around within the company.

    Cons

NO UNION. They make it seem like there is no need for a union but in fact a union would have saved my career. There is not enough employee support without one. One of the lowest paid airlines in the industry. Terrible healthcare. Healthcare and compensation would be improved by union presence. Reserve is NOT fun but you will have to go through that at any airline so its something to think about when applying.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

For the most part, the people I work with are great.
Traveling is pretty easy and swapping days with people aren't bad either.

    Cons

Anyone from being a Lead and up are pretty much glorified babysitters.
Seems like they're out to get you rather than help you.
Pay isn't nearly what it should be compared to what we're asked to do.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your crew members.

    Pros

I have been working at JetBlue full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits.
    Good hours.
    Above average salary.
    Ability to advance.
Overall, not a bad place to work and I would recommend the company.

    Cons

Management struggles to be on the same page, at least on the local level.
Not as transparent as they pretend to be. Salary gap between employee and supervisor not great enough.

    Advice to Management

Less managers at the airport level. All managers need to be on the same page and accept more input from their supervisors. Salaries for leadership should always be further above regular employee levels so that people want to advance.
