I have been working at Jetro Cash & Carry full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunity for advancement, relaxed work environment. Fast paced. Fairly compensated at mgmt levels.

    Cons

Entry level pay is sub par so good talent is hard to get unless the applicant sees the bigger picture.

    Advice to Management

Ensure you spend time and develop the employees you have already invested in

I have been working at Jetro Cash & Carry full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The health care is pretty good but you only get that through the union

    Cons

The pay Is 11 dollars at start and that may seem like it's good, however this is a job that deals with alot of heavy lifting, dealing with very rude customers and managers except you to do a two man job by yourself on the regular. Unless you join the union your gonna stay at 11 per hour.

    Advice to Management

Stick up for your workers before always throwing under the bus when customers get in their face.

I worked at Jetro Cash & Carry full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Accesibility Very driven team effort Ample parking space Very little chance to get fired

    Cons

    1) no opportunity to grow 2) very outdated internal systems lead to DAILY frustration. System cannot handle a business in this decade 3) very poor training, actually employee training is non-existent 4) revolving door. Employee turn-over extremely high. 5) 50-60 hour weeks are the norm. Not because work is engaging, but rather because each individual is expected to do the job of 2-3 individuals

    Advice to Management

Pay attention at why employees keep leaving, there must be a reason somewhere there Dont just look at numbers
