    Pros

    Their payroll checks do clear.

    Cons

High turnover--only a few senior managers (the long time insiders) stay on. Some of these entrenched personalities are quite difficult to deal with, especially in sales. Not a desirable industry (industrial cleaning)--low tech, low growth, and boring. Strictly D-list talent with pay to match. Company is not the market leader in its segment and is barely even number 3. They're owned by Federal Signal and like to pretend that they're a big corporation, even though they're not, lol. Overall, I'd pass, unless you're a Lone Star College grad with a B/C average.

    Advice to Management

Nothing really since I've moved on to bigger and better things and am embarrassed to say I was part of this organization. See you never!

I have been working at Jetstream Of Houston full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company gave me a cell phone, management is completely lost and hasn't got a clue as to what really is going on so its easy to do nothing.

    Cons

the pay is not good, management is a joke (the blind leading the blind) Jetstream and fs soutions are revolving doors for employees and management.

    Advice to Management

Hire your own replacement, oh wait, you always do..

I worked at Jetstream Of Houston full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1) It is a small company.
    2) They fed people good.
    3) They paid you for your work.
    4) I had weekends off.
    5) The restrooms were clean.

    Cons

    1) It is a small minded company.
2)The people there seemed to act as if being a disabled Vet was an excuse.
    3) It felt oppressive.
    4) It took 3 weeks for them to get me a computer and software because they didn't know what I needed - I was being timed and judged, no equipment.
    5) The guy that discriminated against me being disabled, was a judge on whether I stayed or not, very oppressive environment.

    Advice to Management

Orientate your staff to not ask questions/make statements like, "what exactly is your disability? You look fine to me."

And tell your managers not to say, "I don't have empathy for American Vets, I'm from Canada." And try to pass it off as humor, in an interview.

I worked at Jetstream Of Houston full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good hours, benefits we're good, most shop employees are good to work with and a relaxed atmosphere.

    Cons

Pay and raises are a joke, management has its own little click and only look out for themselves. You do not feel valued at all and feel looked down upon. Office and shop workers have a huge disconnect and teamwork is preached but not practiced.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your pay scale and put an end to paying machinists $4-$6 under market rate. There is no reason to pay so low when the business is flourishing as they say in monthly meetings. As the company grew more profitable, raises and bonuses for hourly employees shrink.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Jetstream Of Houston as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

In the few months that I worked, re-designing Jetstream product catalogs I was able to work with wonderful and highly skillful people. They were always open to creative ideas. It's not always sweet, people here confront the company problems, which is great! Because they work together to solve them. So even if there are uncomfortable moments or disagreements, they are only in the best interest of everyone. And I love these challenges!

    Cons

The only con is the traffic to get there. And that my assignment was so short.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the good work!

I have been working at Jetstream Of Houston full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great group of people and the future growth initiative potential and customer base is great.

    Cons

Policies and procedures need to be implemented and the procurement management needs to be more in tune with the customer demand and manufacturing needs on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Improve on the communication between outside suppliers as well as improving the safety stock levels which need to be revised to meet the demand of the customers as well as the manufacturing departments. Implement processes and procedures to help improve the overall growth of the business.
